1. Holy old news thy has already been discussed here.

2. The players were immediately booted from the team and have been in jail.

3. This issue has nothing to do worhethe football program past the guise in jail. The lawyers aren't defending the program as that isn't what is being sued. The lawyers are doing this on their own for the defense. It's not like Farley is pulling strings on this.

4. No one has defended the actions taken by the university at that time, in fact many for years have condemned how it was handles and is the reason the university has overhauled its public safety set up.

5. Again, its they lawyers doing this.....not the university.

6. This isn't even close to new news.

Nope. They kids were booted and went to jail (not for Long enough imo).

I've condemned the university for the way this was handled

The was never a cover up. Hell this suit isn't even about attempted cover up. Its about her feeling the university handled her requests poorly

Sad that you would defend this as "old news" and say it's just lawyers doing their jobs.

You support rapists and a criminal syndicate that covers up for rapists.

Old news? This isn't like some lawsuit involving allegations against dead men over an event which happened 30 years ago. :)

The government should shut down the criminal conspiracy called UNI football.

You shamefully support UNI and its lawyers every time you step on campus, or attend a football game, or say something positive about any of the remarkable good things the school has done, because this is the only issue that matters because I say so. And I'm going to spend virtually all of time here following you on this board, and anytime you post something, I'm going to ask you if you are ashamed of supporting UNI and its football program. And I'm going to do all this because I am a narrow, pathetic person with nothing better to do.

Not near as bad as priests raping children on the Fordumb campus.

At lease UNI is dealing with it.

Here's Fordumb's response to their teachers/priests raping children:
As of press time, Fordham University has remained silent. The official university response came from Bob Howe, Fordham’s Director of Communications, who declined to comment, citing school policy. The Province and the Archdiocese have also chosen not to comment. And the office of the President of Fordham Preparatory School, Rev. Kenneth Boller, S.J., did not return the paper’s request for an interview.

When the paper again attempted to contact Fordham, this time after discovering the public statement given by the school in 2004 regarding the sexual harassment allegations involving Mr. Hudson, the response was the same. “We’re not commenting,” said Mr. Howe.

And thus the question remains. Why have the school and its administration chosen to handle this affair in secrecy? Why, when the university has shown in recent history an ability to openly and efficiently deal with a public situation of sexual harassment, can it not find the means to do the same in this case? Indeed, this entire ordeal raises quite a few questions about transparency in Fordham University’s administration. But from the looks of it, we’re not about to get any answers.
:ohno: What assholes! I can only imagine the type of asshole they produce at that rapatorium.

Some Commentary on Fordumb's star pedophile and rapist:
I was a student at Fordham Prep in the early 70′s. Fr. O’Brien twice invited me to go swimming in the univeristy pool after hours, naked of course. I fortunately declined as his intentions were asll too obvious. A lay teacher there, Jack Sullivan who taught Calssics and was a basketball coach could not keep his hands off me, always fondling my head, neck and shoulders during tests. He too invited me to go skinny dipping in the university pool. I knew that there were gay teachers and priests at Fordham Prep, the majority were decent, kind, and excellent men. The only pedophiles I knew of were O’Brien and Sullivan.
I applaud your bravery in coming forward to expose these sick men. It is shameful how the Church and Jesuit Hierarchy shield these monsters from the law.
Joe, didn't you used to carry O'Brien's breifcase for him, you brownnoser pussy?

Thank you, Mr. Cerick, for taking up this cause and exposing these sick men at Fordham. Fordham was a very big name for those of us growing up in New York. I can only imagine how taken by surprise you were to have to run around a table from a priest chasing you for sex. Fordham is just another gross Jesuit playground for pedophiles. And New York State remains a haven for such predators. But Fordham won’t be silent forever. And neither will New York State keep its ridiculous statute of limitations for much longer. Hope you are in good health, as your efforts reach many, many people.

I am just now catching up with this news. I lived in fear of Fr. O’Brien. As a young man grappling with his sexuality, O’Brien was a predator and the rumors were rampant about his exploits. He was so powerful that for all of the rumors, no one dared speak or hear the truth for many years. I was warned by a brave faculty member to avoid any approaches by O’Brien, particularly to join his “prayer retreats to Saranac Lake.” Many to this day will deny O’Brien’s abuses and defend him, I’m sure. Everything said here confirms what I heard from students and teachers in my time at the Prep (’71-’75).
Joe loves O'Brien is carved on one of the trees at the Saranac Lake pedophile retreats.

Trap? This is fun. Appreciate Joltin Joe Amendola giving me another opportunity to expose his church and Fordumb as the pedophile playgrounds they are. :thumb: Him equating a world wide child abuse scandal and how the church has dealt with it to the UNI issue is comical.

Anti Catholic rants. Its a world-wide scandal of, ahem, biblical magnitude that involves tens of thousands of child rape victims. I proudly join the world press in holding those fucks accountable.

And you Ivytwit, aligning yourself with Joke and his church, you're just a dipshit and should be ashamed of yourself. Here's the church you're defending...

From CICA Report highlighting rampant abuse in catholic run schools in Ireland.
7.129 In relation to one School, four witnesses gave detailed accounts of sexual abuse, including rape in all instances, by two or more Brothers and on one occasion along with an older resident. A witness from the second School, from which there were several reports, described being raped by three Brothers: ‘I was brought to the infirmary…they held me over the bed, they were animals….They penetrated me, I was bleeding’. Another witness reported he was abused twice weekly on particular days by two Brothers in the toilets off the dormitory:

One Brother kept watch while the other abused me ...(sexually)... then they changed over. Every time it ended with a severe beating. When I told the priest in Confession, he called me a liar. I never spoke about it again.

I would have to go into his ...(Br X’s)... room every time he wanted. You’d get a hiding if you didn’t, and he’d make me do it ...(masturbate)... to him. One night I didn’t ...(masturbate him)... and there was another Brother there who held me down and they hit me with a hurley and they burst my fingers ...displayed scar….
...

7.232 Witnesses reported being particularly fearful at night as they listened to residents screaming in cloakrooms, dormitories or in a staff member’s bedroom while they were being abused. Witnesses were conscious that co-residents whom they described as orphans had a particularly difficult time: :ohno:

The orphan children, they had it bad. I knew ...(who they were)... by the size of them, I’d ask them and they’d say they come from ...named institution…. They were there from an early age. You’d hear the screams from the room where Br ...X… would be abusing them.

There was one night, I wasn’t long there and I seen one of the Brothers on the bed with one of the young boys ... and I heard the young lad screaming crying and Br ...X… said to me “if you don’t mind your own business you’ll get the same”. ... I heard kids screaming and you know they are getting abused and that’s a nightmare in anybody’s mind. You are going to try and break out. ... So there was no way I was going to let that happen to me…. I remember one boy and he was bleeding from the back passage and I made up my mind, there was no way it ...(anal rape)... was going to happen to me. ... That used to play on my mind.
Nice work Ivytool - minimizing these crimes by disparaging the people who report the abuse. :ohno:

Ha. Good one.
Not enough, but...

I donate to organizations with a mission of holding the church accountable - there are many. I also donate to and participate in several national secular humanism organizations.

I don't lay down and just take it from the church - like Hen, Joke and Andy do. They're family guys and just want their kids to go through the same indoctrination stages they did. They don't want to ruffle any feathers and they're still afraid of church leaders and acquiesce to church authority. There are the twits like Ivy, who know the church is evil, but won't say anything because they want to be polite. That's where I come in. I left the church, which is the best way to stop the problem, and I hold it accountable in word and action.
