Talk about out of touch. :dunce:

Thank you Obama for giving another "I actually voted for the war before I voted agaInst it." America will hear this example of Obama being out of touch over and over and over this fall.

Not surprising. The people he sees every day are doing well...

He needs to get out more

Obama spends record amount of time fundraising
Politico44 ^ | 6/6/12 | DONOVAN SLACK

No, it’s not your imagination: President Barack Obama is spending a whole lot of time fundraising, perhaps more than any incumbent president in history.

Including this week’s trip to California, he will have spent eight of 24 weekdays during the past month – that’s a third of them - on the road and collecting cash.

His event Thursday morning will mark his 153rd fundraiser since announcing his reelection bid last year. That’s nearly double the number that his predecessor George W. Bush had attended by this point in his reelection campaign, according to CBS’s Mark Knoller, who put 43’s early June number at 79.

Neither White House nor campaign officials responded to messages seeking comment.

Nothing to spin. The dude is out of touch and getting more and more like Dubya every day. Of course, the dude running against him blows just as hard. Gotta love what this country has become.

That's the problem. People can cry about Obama all they want, he is just like Dubya (except Dubya cleared brush, Obama fundraises) the next President will be more of the same. No reason to think that Romney will be more "in touch" than Obama is, dude was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

Instead of a donkey and an elephant, I think both parties should change their logo to a lemming.

It's easy, and fashionable, to take smug potshots at both parties. So tell me, 86, what would you do to improve the political process in America?

If we actually had "two" parties that would be a start in the right direction. :coffee:

So you don't think there's a dime's worth of difference between the Dems and the GOP? As a matter of ideology, you're wrong. If you posit that the " great middle" is disenfranchised, you may have a better point.

1) Ideology<re-election which is determined by campaign finance.

2) the "great middle" IS disenfranchised. I am now officially a disciple of the 86hens, UNI88's, Clucks, Ursus's and Gannonfans of the world. There was a time where I might have fallen into the warm embrace of traditional conkunism as I grew older. Unfortunately, there are too few traditional conks left.

Then again, I pretty much fail miserably at practicing my belief. :ohno:
Cynicism (Greek: κυνισμός), in its original form, refers to the beliefs of an ancient school of Greek philosophers known as the Cynics (Greek: Κυνικοί, Latin: Cynici). Their philosophy was that the purpose of life was to live a life of Virtue in agreement with Nature. This meant rejecting all conventional desires for wealth, power, sex, and fame, and by living a simple life free from all possessions. As reasoning creatures, people could gain happiness by rigorous training and by living in a way which was natural for humans. They believed that the world belonged equally to everyone, and that suffering was caused by false judgments of what was valuable and by the worthless customs and conventions which surrounded society. Many of these thoughts were later absorbed into Stoicism.

Occupy CS.com! :)

People should try and hold their policitians accountable, instead of making excuses for them. Not much of a solution, but if more people did it things might be better. Both parties play the blame game and the voters fall for it.

And you're right, it is easy to take smug potshots at both parties, both parties have worked hard to make it that way.

This whole thread kinda sums up my political position fairly succinctly (so thanks you guys)

Bush was a liberal in disguise - hidden by his war mongering and oil dreams
Obama is The Ultimate Politician and has Changed absolutely NOTHING
Far more concerned with status Quo and getting re-elected than anything even resembling addressing the issues

Romney is a complete JOKE
Magic Underwear troglodyte retarded faith / Self aggrandizing blow-hard and out of touch wouldn't even begin to explain how FAR out of touch = he's in a different galaxy both figuratively and literally if you read his Bible

Jeezus...
Why vote - neither of these clowns come close to representing anything other than MONEY and The System

Here's some neat charts showing how public sector layoffs and spending on a state and local level have affected the economy and how corporate profits and and investment have rarely if ever been better. Admittedly, it kind of supports what Obama said so please feel free to spin. :thumb:
