Prosecutor Kathleen Kane beat Ivytalk's selection for the nation's stupidest politician, former Congressman Patrick Murphy, in the PA Donk primary for attorney general. It was a dirty campaign, with party-endorsed Murphy attacking Kane as a rich b**** who gave to GOP candidates and whose husband ran a non-union trucking company. Murphy, who touted his record as a "military prosecutor," isn't even admitted to the PA bar!

Kane, who is kind of hot, was warmly endorsed by Bill Clinton. Murphy was endorsed by PA Donk big shots Ed Rendell, Mike Nutter and Lynne Abraham (former Philly DA). No Donk has ever been elected PA attorney general since the position became elective in 1980, but she has a good chance to break that streak.

I don't know much about the qualifications for the position, but it seems to me that someone who isn't admitted to the bar shouldn't be eligible for the position of Attorney General. That makes one wonder who does the party vetting for the PA Donkeys. If the party leadership hated this chick THAT much, shouldn't they have found a guy to endorse that was at least a member of the bar?!?
