Top officials from the agency accused of blowing through taxpayer dollars on luxury getaways and other expenses endured a public drubbing on Capitol Hill Monday, as one invoked his right to remain silent and others apologized profusely while lawmakers tore into them for the "gross abuse of taxpayer funds."
Members of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee at times yelled at the representatives from the General Services Administration called to testify Monday. One lawmaker said repeatedly he wants those responsible for wasteful GSA spending to repay the government -- which one official said could be ordered.
I find it absolutely comical that ANY member of congress could cast the first stone against ANYONE for "gross abuse of taxpayer funds". That place needs a good Fall cleaning....bunch of fuckin' hypocrites.

Your faux anger is boring me, Z. So is your extreme exaggerating and generalizing and extrapolating.
Why don't you do this during your free time (every weekday from 9a to 4p): Go through Congress, Rep by Rep and Senator by Senator, Conk and Donk, and actually identify all the wasteful things you think each one does/has done in his/her career.
If you cannot do that exercise, you are no more than another bag of Conk flatulence sharting on CS readers. The choice is yours - you can educate yourself fully or you can continue to parrot the incomplete, biased blather of your Conk heroes on the airwaves. See if the "problem" is really THAT big.
I challenge you, Snert.

I got one word for you, Maynard: EARMARKS. Let he who has never proposed an earmark for his district cast the first stone. I guaranfuckingTEE you every single member of congress has submitted and had passed a wasteful, unnecessary program by virtue of earmarks for their district that DWARFS the cost of this party in Vegas. Guaranteed.
My work here is done.

Not to mention all the trips in which family is allowed to be brought along and we as taxpayers foot the bill. Shit, doesn't Pelosi pretty much have the military on speed dial to fly her around?

Yes. It's all bad. If it's worth spending money on it, put it in the fucking budget.
Oh, wait. They can't get a budget passed either.

I would, but if I did that, 300 people in PHoenix would be without their welfare checks that my taxes provide.
