Some weird-ass whacko from the Right? I think he should choose Christine O'Donnell.

Discuss.

Hardly, but typical that you would think that.

He was as a youth living in Nevada. He converted back to a Catholic when his family moved back to Miami.

To win the election you need to have more money than your opponent so Mutt wants the VP that brings the most money.

Honestly, I think Romney should pick a hispanic woman, and it doesn't really matter if she is quite qualified. Doing that would effectively nuke the democratic party's ability to play the race and gender card in the campaign.

One problem. What happens if Romney wins and then dies?

It will be hard to find someone that will want to take on Biden in a debate
He seems to be the smartest dem

Biden: Al Franken A “Leading Legal Scholar”…

Vice President Joe Biden described former Saturday Night Live comedian, Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., as a “leading legal scholar,” presumably in the Senate, today.

“He has been one of the leading legal scholars,” Biden said of Franken today, according to the pool report. He also said that Franken “is deadly serious” as a senator. He made the comments while recalling concerns that then-candidate Franken could not be taken seriously as a Senate candidate given his SNL work.

The idea that Franken could be a good Senator is about as crazy as thinking Actor Ronald Reagan could be a good President.

You may not like Franken's political views, but he did graduate from Harvard with a degree in Political Science.

Didn't George Bush have a MBA from Harvard?

And of course Obama went there....
we've been told anyway...haven't seen any grades...wonder why?

Biden Earned $21,000 Last Year From the Secret Service
White House Dossier ^ | 04/14/12 | Keith Koffler

Vice President Joe Biden last year earned $20,900 in rental income from the Secret Service, which is paying him to host agents on his property so they can protect him.

Most high-profile people in need of protection pay people to keep them safe. Government officials are allowed to have taxpayers pick up the tab. Biden is unique in that he actually gets paid by his bodyguards for the right to protect him.
Biden’s tax records list rental income of $20,900 from a “cottage” on is property, which is reportedly being leased by the Secret Service and paid for at a rate that could earn him even more money next year.

Biden took deductions for mortgage interest and taxes that allowed him to report only $12,653 of the amount on his federal tax return.

Of course, the Bidens badly need the money. They only had an adjusted gross income of $379,035 last year. This probably also explains why they gave less than 1.5 percent of their income to charity.

He gave $50 bucks to Wounded Warrior Project
wonder if he knows they don't actually wound them

Franken graduated from Harvard cum laude.

But who cares? This thread is titled: Romney VP Candidates. I doubt if either Biden or Franken will be considered as a potential running mate for Romney, so why bring them up?

Martinez is probably a no:

"It’s a question she has batted away since before she took office, but speculation about Gov. Susana Martinez becoming the Republicans’ nominee for vice president just won’t stop, no matter how often she says “no.”

Political pundits say the first-term Republican governor could be an ideal running mate for the eventual GOP presidential nominee. They note she’s the nation’s first Hispanic female governor and say she could attract female and Hispanic voters who appear to favor President Barack Obama over presumptive Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

And politicos are quick to point out that a politician’s “no” doesn’t always hold true when a call from a presidential candidate comes. Think back to 2008 when then U.S. Sen. Joe Biden was asked whether he would take the vice president spot if asked by Obama. He replied: “No. I promise. No.”

But Martinez insists that when she says “no,” she means it.

Martinez told the Journal recently that her responsibility as guardian of her developmentally disabled sister, Lettie, in Las Cruces is one that she can’t take to Washington, D.C., regardless of who calls.

“The family has to be a consideration, and for me to take (my sister) to Washington would be to separate her from … the family that’s down there, and that would be devastating,” Martinez said. “I just couldn’t do it.”

Staying in Las Cruces allows Martinez’s 54-year-old sister to remain near their father, Jake, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and lives nearby in El Paso, Martinez said. Despite the Alzheimer’s, Martinez has said, her father has continued to recognize her sister.

He needs someone with stronger conservative creds from a battleground state and the south. It will be the Gov. of Virginia.
