Gave up talking to my children for lent.

Just the Easter Bunny thing. Then the seven year old figured the whole thing out and blabbed her findings to the younger two. At least we don't have to bother with that whole thing next year. I'm sure Santa's goose is cooked as well.

Kids don't get the whole "shooting myself in the foot" analogy. I'm pretty sure I fubared the Easter bunny and Santa for my brother and myself.

We just all went up to THE MOUNTAIN HUNTING RETREAT, drank vodka, cook up some fillets on Saturday, a leg of lamb on Sunday, and came home last night.

It was awesome, and no lying needed.

Not really "my" children, per se, but I told them I had a bunch of candy in my van. Suckers!

They are your children now.

The best thing to tell your children about the EB, Santa etc is.......if they aren't real, they don't have to come. They will "believe" a while longer
