SECDEF Panetta is safe after an Afghan stole a pickup truck at a British airfield in southern Afghanistan where Panetta's plane was landing. The driver crashed the truck just short of the runway and emerged from the truck on fire.

President 0bama is expected shortly to issue an apology for the injuries to the truck thief...
