Thank You Mr. Obama: Unemployment Claims at 4 Year Low

4 More Years!!!
New claims for unemployment benefits fell to a new four-year low last week, suggesting that the U.S. labor market continues to improve. And a survey of factory purchasing managers indicated that manufacturing activity continues to grow.
...
The U.S. economy, after a year of concern about problems in Europe and the possibility of a broad “double dip” recession, gathered pace at the end of last year. The faster growth began being felt, as well, in an expanding job market and falling unemployment.
The drop in new unemployment claims to 351,000 last week was a notably welcome sign the trend is continuing. Benefits claims have fallen steadily since the fall, with the unemployment rate dropping to 8.3 percent.
The outlook for U.S. workers “appears to have strengthened markedly,” analysts for Capitol Economics wrote in a research note.

Let's just keep it going.
I have always thought that America is self-righting by nature. We have hiccups from time to time, but we are not handcuffed by the social, geographic and demographic roadblocks that other countries suffer from. Most importantly, we have generations of acclimation to success and high expectations. If our current situation at any given time doesn't meet those expectations, then we (usually) just work harder. That's my take on exceptionalism.
The one thing that worries me is the debt and out of control spending over the last 40 years. One day, it won't matter how hard we work, or how much we tighten our belts in the hard times. Crushing national debt cannot be overcome by those traits that have gotten us through before.

Maybe in your broke dick community, Fuckwad. We lost a GM plant, the largest GM plant, and we're kicking ass. A major motion picture studio has been here filming a documentary on our recovery and reluctance to turn into Gary, IN and Flint Fucking Michigan.
Get a life you putrid vial of squid jizz.

Cannot dispute these new claims at all. South Carolina, in the last year, has announced the addition of several MAJOR manufacturing facilities throughout the state, not to mention the BOEING plant headed to Charleston as well. The simple fact is voters vote strictly according to their pocketbooks. That won't change in 2012.

We're on the fast track to becoming the medical isotope capital of the world. Several major business are coming to town. I90 is expanding to 3 lanes from Illinois border to Madison (1 billion project that will bring even more companies and dollars to Rock County).
Fuck you racist conks, god bless Obama. Best president since IKE.

That's good stuff. I would love if more emphasis would get back on American infrastructure again. I do not want another incident like the one in Minnesota back in 09. Obama is a shoo-in with what the GOP has to offer. I'm getting to where I hate all politics, but I will always maintain the opinion that AMERICA needs to refocus on AMERICANS 1st and foremost, albeit in good taste.

Abbot and Costello explain unemployment. Abbot seems to understand it better than most of the libtards on this site.

Private sector employment has grown for 23 consecutive months, but I don't see a chart that shows the number of people who have exited the workforce by month. When you have a 3.7 million increase in payroll (seasonally-adjusted), yet the official unemployment rate has fallen very little, what can you logically conclude?
The mean economic growth rate over the last 6 quarters is considerably lower than that of the previous three quarters. Even in those three quarters, economic growth was historically anemic.

State and local employment has decreased (despite the promises of the stimulus bill), yet federal employment has grown significantly.
You might want to include some charts on commodity inflation, and underwater mortgage and foreclosure rates.

Foreign money flowing into U.S. Treasuries, keeping interest rates artificially low and forcing money into equities.
Your numbers show an increase of 80% over 3 years. Do you really believe corporate earnings have increased by 80% during that period? They haven't. In other words, the market is overvalued.

Or ones that go further back than 2008.

My numbers? Those are cold hard stock market numbers.
But you're right - only Wall Street and oil company earnings have increased that much...

You might want to look into that a little further.

First off, he apologized to prevent more killings of US soldiers. In this day and age, every president, dem or rep, would have done that.
Second, the economy is not a joke and is most definitely improving.
Get out of your bubble world and actually look things up instead of being blinded by your conservatism and what you hear from Hannity.
