Looks like a UNI home playoff game when the Hawkeyes are on national TV playing Nebraska......

These photos were flying around among my colleagues yesterday with two possible conclusions.
1. Somewhere - an advance staffer just their ass fired for this.
or
2. Somewhere - Romney advance staffers are at a bar screaming to each other "I told that fucking megalomaniac that there WAS NO WAY we could even HALF fill it!"
(and in case your wondering, yes, campaign staff bitch about their candidates - even the ones they'd take a bullet for - all the time)

Maybe Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor would have been a better venue.

Romney drew 1200 people for an economics speech. That's not bad. The choice of venue was idiotic.

Did they not even think about security issues?

That picture is funny as hell. Reminds me of some Braves baseball games back in the early 70s

I was being nice. Our weekly Sunday attendance is generally between 1900 and 2100. It's one of 6 Catholic churches that are within 5 miles of my house.

You expect a large Republican turnout in Detroit?

The city limits are the event horizon for the unions and welfare state.

Hen,
I actually like going to Catholic churches. Being a history kinda guy, it's fun to see all the accoutrements and I can recall my good days in Catholic grade school. One thing I remember form going to Mass is that everyone was so smily coming out of it and not because they were happy it was over, but, rather, because they all seemed to get something out of being there with everyone else. Though I can no longer make that connection, it pleases me to see that many people can and do.
