Read your fancy-dancy title. The Obama thing might have been off, but I just figured you were comparing Obama to the GOP.

The top chart seem to reference 2021. Frankly, nobody can predict what the actual numbers will look like in 2021. Given the 9 year window, the variance between he five isn't really that great. Anyway, Obama is trying to increase the deficit, in the near term. That clearly isn't taken into account in this "analysis".

Obama is committed, like any Conk (except W), to reduce the deficit. That it doesn't meet your tomorrow deadline is not his issue.

That's why ALL the candidates suck.

This also explains how our debt probably would have been similar under McCain. But go on conks, keeping blaming it on the socialist.

Not sure how significant cuts to our debt can be made without cuts to entitlements and defense. Cutting those things aren't exactly winners when it comes to trying to win an election.

I am of the opinion that the country is so far in debt that NOTHING will ever get America's books balanced again. NOTHING! Truthfully, every form of government that has ever existed started from a)usurpation and b)existed solely to the fact that they borrowed and spent to, with, and from the help of the nations surrounding them. That's just how the world works people. Heck, bartering and loaning is prevalent throughout Old Testament history.

Truthfully, I laugh when politicians talk about a "balanced budget". It will never happen. We are not wired that way. Individually, you can live this way, but when you're responsible for a nation, it will never happen. I only wish they'd grow a pair and declare it so.
