Just to show that I can be serious...

...when I want to be, I am anxious to hear from the hardcore voting left about the upcoming 2012 election. Has Obama governed too much from a centrist point of view to sway you. dback, does the gay community feel at all let down that he has not made any headway on gay marriage? What is funny is that conservatives who champion states rights see that happen when it comes to gay marriage as is seems to be gaining more ground at the states levels than federal. For you environment folks, has he done enough? Foreign policy? Successful there for the most part but still has not shut gitmo down. Just curious what's on you folks minds.

The guy has been a solid Prez who has been harassed and hamstrung from the beginning by Conks who don't like black people, cat.

I can see that in some Republicans yes, but since you are a Democrat, in your heart of hearts, where has he failed and where has he truly made progress. Again, just asking. Not trying to start anything. There are a lot of jobs that were supposed to be created via the $825 stimulus package 3 years ago that have still not seen the light of day. Carry on.

Well since I won't be voting Democrat for any national office and I am a proven Internet conservative I don't think I meet your qualifications but...
Obama was granted an opportunity in crisis to make serious changes and failed. Whether its government picking winners and losers through the tax code and legislation or entrenched power and monopolies in various industries crushing competition and the little guy we do not have a level playing field.
Obamacare was a sellout to big insurance and big pharma.
He has expanded the security state and threatened civil liberties.

Clearly what he so did not campaign for during his 2008 election bid I get that. Has he lost the extreme left in 2012?

In other words, he didn't perform the death blow on the conks when he had the chance.

There are areas to be seriously disapointed in Obama. While he is not openly hostile to gay rights, he is as best, indifferent - the gains made in this presidency, while not possible under a Republican, were pushed by others.
Big disapointment in the environmental front. Despite T-man frothings, Obama is at heart a corportist, and not an environmentalist at all.

I see that as well jon. Obama is no different that Bush when it comes to big business and big government loving. I still say he gets a second term, but I would imagine most Dems will do so holding their nose and for the second straight election, Repubs won't have a candidate worth voting for.

Pretty much the case - indiffernce versus outright hostility

Jeebus dback. We are in the middle of the biggest economic mess since the Great Depression. Environmental concerns, civil rights, and other BS take a back seat to economic focus. Without an economic recovery, we will lose all the civil rights we have attained to date and the evironment will be in far worse shape. The problem is, he hasn't been a leader on the economy either.

For me at least, civil rights ARE economic issues - My partner and I pay thousands more in taxes than we would if we were legally married

And, we can't sacrifice the environment for short-term economic gain. It kills us in the end.

Environmental issues are almost 100% economic.

Horseshit.
He appointed Browner, Jackson, Salazar, Chu, Sutley and Locke!!!!
He might as well have placed NRDC and CBD's attorneys in charge of our nation's environmental and regulatory agencies.
Under Obama, the envirowhackos have had free-reign to destroy American industry.
Want to know what's causing our nation's economic problems?
Re-read the above.

You are one exaggeration' motherfvcker, T. I see no impact from the tree huggers then I did 20 years ago. You're a sensationalist, like most Conks, buddy.
