The important one for here is the Littoral Combat Ship that will be named for Sioux City. Based on the previous pattern with the two-variant LCS class, as a FREEDOM-variant LCS (odd numbers), USS SIOUX CITY will bear hull number (LCS-9).

The other LCS will take its name from the City of Omaha. That will be an INDEPENDENCE-variant, so its hull number will be even. The next in line is LCS-10. Three Arleigh Burke-class destroyers were also announced, named after various CMOH or Navy Cross winners.

Is the emphasis on the 2nd syllable in "littoral"?

Hogan,

My friend's daughter is on the USS something or the other. She's a Marine and an attractive young lady. I told her mother she could make a fortune selling handjobs, bikini pics and underwear to pathologically horny seamen, while deployed.

My question for you is, can she legitimately get a start up business like this going? Do you suggest she go over the business plan with her commanding officer first? Do you see any pitfalls?

Thanks, Buddy.

Prostitution is illegal, but I suppose that never stopped you from your entrepreneurial activities in the bus station men's room.

I wasn't in the Navy, but with their new Motto and all, I don't see this working out too well now.
It's not gay if it's under way.
Why do you think they call it hot bunking?
:kisswink:

An attractive woman in the Marine Corps usually walks with a limp by about her second day in the Fleet.
