Not so fast, my Conk friends.

First, I ask, "Why isn't someone as sharp as Mitch Daniels running for President instead of the clown circus that's been forced on us?" Though he's a Conk to the bone, the guy is calm, intelligent and convincing. A refreshing breath of air in what is a highly embarrassing primary season for both Conks and the entire nation. I wouldn't vote for the guy, but I was highly impressed. I shook my head at some of the things he had to say about the President's address, but went away thinking that there are smart Conks out there who could be great leaders on the national scene.

Conks need to get their house in order and a guy like him is the place to start.

The problem is that nobody with a brain wants the job. The deep probing of everything you've ever done or said, the stress, etc.

The people that run have egos the size of Michelle Obama's ass. Most of us have egos but not that big. I think many of them are also proving something to someone or trying to gain acceptance. For example, does Mitt really want to be president because of some great feeling of service to his country. Or is it because daddy ran for president and didn't make it so Mitt wants to prove something to his dead father?

Wasn't Daniels Bush's Budget Director?

For the record, and I posted it here, Daniels was my favorite candidate from the start, but he declined to run for family reasons.

I thought he was a dope. I guess that the love for him on here proves how far that Republicans have fallen.

How so?

Obama never even ATTEMPTED to accomplish virtually every promise he made in his 2011 SOTU speech.

Yet last night, he repeated many of those same promises.

Did Obama lie, or is he merely grossly incompetent?

What's really remarkable is most Republicans/Conservatives realized Bush Jr. was the sharpest tool in the shed so only extreme nut jobs like Limbaugh would blindly defend his incompetence.

Then you step up to blindly defend the Dem's cull, Obama.

You did know that the White House traditionally releases text of the speech to the Congressional leaders days before the actual speech, and also to the press the day before the speech, right?
