CNN and Politico are reporting that Jon Huntsman will end his Presidential campaign tomorrow and throw his support to Mitt Romney.

Odd timing coming at the midway point between the NH and SC primaries and just 24 hours after getting the endorsement of South Carolina's largest newspaper.

I doubt he was offered this early on. He would be a good candidate for SecState, but at this point I think his stepping out was simply for pragmatic purposes.

It would not surprise me to see him at DoS if Romney were to become president, but I don't think Romney is making any offers yet. Huntsman endorsing Romney is not all that surprising, since he most resembles Romney when compared with the whole field.

Interesting that the guys that criticized the party for having no ideas and no substance is backing the biggest no-substance candidate in the field.

After seeing him on Saturday, I was prepared to vote for him. Now, I dont know. Maybe Ron Paul?

Romney won the gunfight at Mormon Corral. If he wins, Hunstman will certainly end up in a high-profile, Cabinet level position. Better than ambassador to the Red Chinese.

And Huntsman's daughters are smokin' hot. Pity we'll see less of them now.
