Scientist go BOOM!

US denies killing Iran nuclear scientist with magnetic bomb

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45953703/

So...

...is ANY Iranian surprised about these incidents when their Supreme Nutjob and Mullahs brag about starting wars, building a "big atomic bomb", exterminating the Jews and wiping Israel off this planet?

Any Iranian working towards a "nuclear" goal better keep their life insurance premiums current.

I hope we did it while denying it, that is one lie I agree with. :thumb:

Honestly - as happy as I am to see their ambitions delayed... I can't condone terrorism, and that's what this is.

Put the shoe on another foot - if an agent from another country had ridden along upside a car on a street in Washington or Chicago and blown up the sedan of a scientist... we'd call it terrorism and be outraged - and rightly so.

That being said - I'm not as sad or outraged as some others by this...

"TEHRAN, Iran — Updated at 1:15 p.m. ET: The Obama administration is denying any role in the killing of an Iranian university professor working at a key nuclear facility. White House spokesman Tommy Vietor said the U.S. "had absolutely nothing to do" with Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan's death and the U.S. condemns "all acts of violence, including acts of violence like what is being reported today."

 The U.S. condemns "all acts of violence"...holy crap...did he say that with a straight face?

Well, uhhh...we do condemn all acts of violence...except drone attacks on "high priority" targets with civilian collateral damage, helicopter raids that result in the shooting of an unarmed man, supporting air attacks on other country's leader's people, invasion of several countries...etc., etc., etc.

Good grief.

But Barry sure was quick to claim credit for nailing Osama!

Some violence is more justifiable than others....

Surely, IT, you must be mistaken. The White House spokesman Tommy Vietor was clear in his statement that the U.S. condemns "all acts of violence." Cowboy Obama would not dare send out an official lie to the public, would he?

One of the comments to the article expressed the "differences" well...
Iran builds a nuclear capability.

Iran supports terrorist groups including Hamas.

Iran builds high tech shape charge IEDs used in Iraq.

Iran's influence in Iraq is undeniable.

Iran rattles sabres in the Gulf.

Iran uses covert spies in U.S. to strike political enemies.

Iran strengthens ties with Chavez and both joke about the 'bomb.'
...and Ahmanutjob has pledged to destroy the Jews and Israel.

The U.S. is not Iran.

U.S. Presidents are not loose cannons like Ahmanutjob.

Next.

I am fine living under certain illusions without caring too much about who did what may have been done. We didn't do it but it's done. Good for us.

Barrack is doing a pretty good job of taking care of shit even if he isn't doing anything in that regard.

The fact that Obama has gotten shit done foreign policy-wise, shit that Bush couldn't get done, really eats at the crotchety old men on this site.

Wrong. It is an act of war, committed by state actors. It is focused, with an obvious strategic aim. If the above scenario occurred as you described, we would not call it terrorism, we would call it an act of war and then we would (hopefully) act accordingly.

Just like bombing Libya, invading Afghanistan or invading Iraq. (Or was that terrorism, too?)

Iran is free to declare war on whatever country is responsible for this. It would be a short war.

No, what "eats at the crotchety old men on this site" is that Barry can't bring himself to admit that he's accomplishing all this "foreign policy" shit using the apparatus BUSH set up and he railed against in the runup to the 2008 election.

Look, I'm no fan of Iran, but let's be real...

The US built nuclear capability and has used it twice.

The US has supported what other countries would consider terrorist groups around the world.

The US builds all kinds of weapons that have killed FAR more people in Iraq.

The US influence in Iraq is undeniable.

The US rattles sabres in the Gulf.

The US uses cover spies in every country in the world.

I have...but that's a two way street. Unfortuantely, for the blamemeister it's not....he's the biggest check valve on the planet. Everything good was his doing, everything bad was Bush's fault. Honestly, 36 months into a presidency I've never seen anything like it.

Whatever. Obama was mild compared to the accussations of the Clintons stealing whitehouse silverware. :tothehand:
