Hey Stinky,

Hows that Sierra snowpack holding out? Read somewhere that the drought is gonna be a record.
The Tahoe basin's snowpack on Sunday was 39 percent of average for the date while the water content of its snowpack was just 18 percent of normal, according to the federal Natural Resources Conservation Service.

The National Weather Service was calling for no chance of snow around Tahoe at least through Christmas Day.

The start of the season is in marked contrast to last season, when Boreal reported receiving about 66 feet of snow to break its record of 55 feet set in 1994-95. The snowpack at its peak was the fourth deepest since 1946 at the University of California, Berkeley's Central Sierra Snow Laboratory near Donner Summit, and well above normal across the Sierra.

That's pretty bad. Better keep your fingers crossed it gets back to normal.

RENO, Nev. -- The forecast around here doesn't call for snow any time soon.
By Tim Dunn, Reno Gazette-Journal (USA Today)

"...And if that happens, it will be the first time in 128 years -- since 1883 -- that no precipitation will have fallen in December here, according to the National Weather Service and Desert Research Institute.

"It's probably going to be dry until New Year's and possibly dry into the first week of January, too," said Jim Wallmann of the National Weather Service.

The situation couldn't be more different from this time last year, when the Lake Tahoe Basin's snowpack was at more than twice the normal levels. On Tuesday, Tahoe's snowpack was 10 percent of average.

The situation not only affects the ski slopes but also the water supply. Dry western states' primary source of water all year is snow melt.

"I don't see very much on the horizon except a continuation of what you're seeing right now," said Kelly Redmond of the Desert Research Institute's Western Regional Climate Center. A stubborn ridge of high pressure is stationary in the Pacific, shouldering off storm systems to the north."

And last year it was 143% of average and broke a 75 year old record. What's your point? If those liberal tree-hugging fucks in Cali would let them build more STORAGE, this year's lower snowpack wouldn't be an issue.

Liberals: letting people die to save the snail darter since 1945.

My point is, dummy, that if the current record drought continues, YOU and Tbag are fucked, even more. It will wipe out last years gains and put you enemy's of the planet in deep shit.

a) That's a big IF
b) One low year in a trend of record snowpack years does not a drought make. :dunce:

Did you read the part about the fact there has never been a waterless December? That's a huge milestone for God.

Did you read the part where just last year they broke a 56 year old record for most snowfall? :kisswink:

Bingo.

Droughts happen.

Floods happen.

Always have, always will.

Effects can be mitigated by thoughtful resource management.

D is either baiting or an epic moron.

But, back to the topic...

...lib fucksticks like D work 24/7 to impede our nations energy independence (management)...

...then, one morning they wake up and find they have no heat...

...and wind up crawling to the government begging no'er do wells like Chu to fix their fuck-up.

Retards like T and Z think natural resources are unlimited and we can fuck over the planet at will because humans are priority one and we can live just fine in a world with absolutey no biodiversity.

Speaking of slow-witted...

...Google "resource management", Wilbur, which implies (acknowledges) limited resources. We get what nature gives, no more or less.

But for the large private sector energy development and public works water projects completed throughout the U.S. over the past century, you wouldn't be living in rural Wisconsin.

Bullshit! You're wasting too much energy. Turn the heater off and start digging your outhouse...wait, before you start, better call your mother and chew her ass out for not aborting you.

A bit OT, but let's say we do go to war with Iran because of the oil issue. It costs us X millions (or billions) of dollars and whatever else. Wouldn't it have been smarter to just invest the money into other energy solutions instead of going to war? That way if something similar happens in the future, we don't even need to spend money to interfere.

I just feel like, as a country that prides itself on its technological prowess and scientific capabilities, we should be able to lead the world into a new era of energy independence (my feelings on space exploration are the same). Honestly, I find it kinda sad that the United States even relies on something as crude as oil, or that we even have energy shortages. I'm convinced that if we had any scientific pride on the National level like we did during the Cold War, we'd find a way to become the first nation completely be dependent on renewable energies...a country that's essentially living in the future during...

*sigh* If only our priorities were someplace else.

Haven't had my heater on yet this year. I piss in the sink and take most of my shits at work or at the gym. My toilet is mostly water for my cats. Just got off the phone with your mother's abortionist - chewed him a new Citadel for fucking up the job on you. :ohno:

Nice post, but we absolutely no ability in this nation to solve any high tech problem. We lost that ability long ago when our great minds went into law or finance instead of engineering. We now have a nation full of asshole lawyers, bankers and thieves.

The solutions you speak of will come from India, China, Germany or Russia.

We're paper tigers.

Jesus, you're simple-minded. It's not an INABILITY to solve high tech problems, it's the simple fact that the country/government is run by the oil companies. Their product is in the middle east. THAT'S why we go to war over oil, but not over solar power. What color is they sky in you two dipshits' world? :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:
