But if we don't take a break from this "American Presidential Idol" mentality, we will have no one to blame but ourselves when the 2016 presidential campaign pits Mike "The Situation" against the Kardashians.

Seriously?

I would KILL to be president. It's become the only executive job in America where you can continuously blame your predecessor for your shortcomings, get absolutely nothing accomplished, spend like a drunken sailor, has (apparently) no experience level required, sexual harassment rules don't apply, and you can be a complete idiot and can STILL have a chance of keeping your job!

I'm the perfect fit! Where do I sign up? :thumb:

If you can survive the vetting process and address all the hidden skeletons in your closet the Presidency should be pretty easy. :? Surround yourself with a bunch of pseudo-expert yes men and when you screw up, blame them. Or Bush.

It seems you are only vetted if you are a republican or a plumber

Seriously, what's so bad about it? Didn't Chelsea Clinton just land a gig as a Board Member for some company almost entirely because her last name is Clinton and because of her parents? There's no way she'd ever get that job without her Dad being an ex-President. And GOP Presidents get the same benefits for their family members too. Think the plusses way outweight the negatives.

This article is written by a long-time good friend of mine. I went to college, law school and worked at a law firm with him for a number of years. He's now a prominent comedian.
