Voter dissatifaction over current options may thrust Christie to run?

Could be serious - he missed his first Delaware game of the year on Saturday...

Christie would be wise to wait until 2016. Close out the NJ resume and avoid the incumbent advantage that Obama will carry in 2012.

Plus it'll give me five more solid earnings years in my federal job before Christie comes in and slashes my pay drastically or eliminates my position indiscriminately.

Lastly, he can start a diet and exercise regimen and be svelte by 2016. While it wasn't envisioned by the founders that we could have a 400 lb president, I think they would have addressed it had they known.

I actually thought he looked slimmer in person than he does on TV. Saw him at the DSU game and he just seemed fat, not enormous.

The Dems will run the video of him saying he's not ready yet nonstop if he becomes the candidate. I'm on the 2016 bandwagon.

:+1: on first and third paragraphs only!

William Howard Taft would roll over in his grave -- slowly -- if Christie broke his Presidential weight record!

Using video of Obama as a cautionary tale?

I agree with the premise of the article on why Christie could run - because neither Perry nor Romney get masses of people that excited. To read polls that Obama is actually ahead or even with anyone at this stage is almost unfathomable. BHO may actually get a 2nd term...

Well, I'm just sure GWB would come back to save us all if we all would just ask him nicely.

Stolen from an episode of F*R*E*I*N*D*S about the younger, fatter Monica.

Monica: The camera adds 10 lbs.

Chandler: How many cameras are you wearing?

That's the irony....I think Jeb might be a decent president, but his fok-up-for-a-brother, W, screwed him out of that opportunity in the near future. But, then again, another evangelical governor from Texas who likes to talk tough is leading the GOP field at the moment, so i guess America does have short-term memory loss... :coffee:

Translation: You're absolutely right, Mr. Bulldog, but since I have no way to argue the fact that you're right, I'll resort to a sophomoric personal attack instead. :coffee: :coffee:

Yup - I wonder if the family reunions get testy between Jeb and GW - Jeb probably would've been pretty good, but he'll have to wait a long while before people think positive about the family name again (that'll take longer than forgetting where GW came from).

Translation: Mr. Grizfan, you're spot on in your analysis of Wedgebuster's sophomoric attack on Mr. Bulldog, but I have no way to refute facts, so I'll take the standard donk angle and just attack you personally with names and insults. :coffee: :coffee: Then I'll make fun of a guy's weight who, in all likelihood, weighs less than I do. :coffee:
