Given that Lincoln was a shity presdient, I don't find this surprising. I don't need to read the link. Abe was a fake, he was Bush, version 1.

There are a lot of Democrats that don't like Obama because they think he compromises with the GOP too much.

But those guys aren't the one's he's trying to appease. They're going to vote for him regardless. He's trying to win back the independent/blue dog vote....

Agreed. I'm not sure that's working right now though.

Lincoln was a tyrant. The author loses all credibility as soon as he says Lincoln was the best Republican President. Right. Let's glorify a guy who throws legislators in jail because he thinks they're not going to vote the way he wants them to vote.

Are you going to criticize a president over constitutional issues? If that's the case we can make a list of those guys.

Lincoln also executed civilians for advocating for Union troops to desert.

A modern parallel would have been if Bush had executed some of the Code Pinkers.

I'd say Lincoln's Constitutional issues far outweigh those of all the other Presidents.

And while we're at it, why are most soft vowels followed by two consonants while the long vowels are usually followed by only one? I mean, it would be even worse if Lincoln had assasinated civilians for inviting soldiers to eat cake.
