Sadam - Gone
bin Laden - Gone
Gaddafi - Going

IMO, it's time for bi-partisan agreement to wrap things up, bring the kids home, and work on some prosperity building in the good ole US of A.

Tojo - Gone

Do we still have troops getting killed by the original axis powers in Germany and Japan?

Yeah, if they come home now, they help cut the costs but add to the unemployed as per Gil, spot on.

Interesting political quagmire we have here, teabaggers want to cut spending on everything which will add more unemployed and the donks are talking road, bridge, and infrastructure construction which will provide jobs to the construction industry but cost more national debt.

What to do?

What to do?
a) put the troops on the border. It'd be cheaper than the fucking fence they're never going to build.
b) No "teabagger" here has bitched ONCE about building bridges, roads, and infrastructure. Unfortunately, all that lip service being given to the rebuilding of "infrastructure" can't actually be DRIVEN on. And that's all they've given is lip service.

This. Pull the troops out of Germany and Japan and a bunch of other places they don't need to be. Put them on the border. The money that is being spent by our troops In Germany and Japan would start being spent in the US which would help the economy near the places our troops would be stationed. I think most people would have been OK with the stimulus had it been spent on infrastructure - roads, bridges, etc. - that would've put people to work and been a long term investment in our nation. Instead too much of it went for pork projects for the idiots in Congress.

Bring most of them home. Get out of Iraq and Afghanistan and close a lot of our bases overseas. We can't afford to be the world police anymore.

So if the Iraqi's and Afghan's stop killing our troops you're okay with them staying?
You only want our troops to go to countries that don't want to fight us? ;)
