Maybe he'll hire them to work on his home expansion and then with the money they get from working they will be able to pay their rent etc.. I think that's how the economy is supposed to work.

I don't get the angst on this one - everyone already knew this guy was rich, and if he's spending his money then what's the big deal? If he didn't spend the money and instead buried it in some offshore account people would be ripping him. So he's being ripped now for actually spending the money and hiring a bunch of workers in the process? Is the problem just that he's rich because he sees damned if he does and damned if he doesn't in this case.

The issue is insensitivity and the appearance that he is not in touch with Americans and the real world. Is there anything morally wrong with what he is doing? No. Is is politically smart? No.

If I were you, I would really turn my outrage on Obama spending borrowed government money on flying two planes of family plus additional taxpayer expense on attendants to vacation in Martha's vineyard rather than Romney spending his own money to build a vacation home.

How does Obama spend his own money? Does he give it to the poor? What has he done for his aunt in public housing?

There is not some high level conspiracy, which started at his birth and orchestrated by the Democratic Party, to elect a mulatoo to the presidency in 2008. I bet 'spanos would agree.

I'm not sure it was racist - let's be honest, if McCain had won the election there would've been a small but vocal group of Democrats who would still be railing on today about how McCain wasn't a naturalized citizen. Fringe groups like these are found in both parties in equal numbers and I think it has more to do with zealous partisanship than anything else. These people can't see past the D or the R.
