I say the same thing when one of those red necks move to Colorado. Are you talking about the same thing?Ivytalk wrote:No new Texans.
No, it's actually an expression that the donks created when W ran the first time. It was a riff on the elder Bush's line, "No new taxes!" I'm just not wild about Perry.BigSkyBears wrote:I say the same thing when one of those red necks move to Colorado. Are you talking about the same thing?Ivytalk wrote:No new Texans.
I know, it was a dumb joke.Ivytalk wrote:No, it's actually an expression that the donks created when W ran the first time. It was a riff on the elder Bush's line, "No new taxes!" I'm just not wild about Perry.BigSkyBears wrote:

Jeez, I went to high school in Houston, and people used to hop in their pickups, drive up to Golden, and load 'em up with Coors when it was still a local beer!BigSkyBears wrote:I know, it was a dumb joke.Ivytalk wrote:

Keyes is not runningSuperHornet wrote:Not thrilled. There's a MUCH bigger announcement coming down in the next few months, I'm sure.
Keyes is only my #4 choice. If you don't know my #1 choice, then you're even dumber than I thought.youngterrier wrote:Keyes is not runningSuperHornet wrote:Not thrilled. There's a MUCH bigger announcement coming down in the next few months, I'm sure.
I suppose we'll hear from you from your new home in Regina after she's elected.clenz wrote:We just choose to believe you aren't dumb enough to think your #1 is a good choice
I'm not worried about her getting elected.SuperHornet wrote:I suppose we'll hear from you from your new home in Regina after she's elected.clenz wrote:We just choose to believe you aren't dumb enough to think your #1 is a good choice
If you're actually pulling for your "#1 choice," you're really pulling for Barack Obama.SuperHornet wrote:Keyes is only my #4 choice. If you don't know my #1 choice, then you're even dumber than I thought.youngterrier wrote: Keyes is not running
I don't know about that Clenz... the idiot in charge has another whole year to completely shit on all of us. Things can and probably will get worse, his record may be so toxic as to make him completely unelectable come next fall.clenz wrote:I'm not worried about her getting elected.SuperHornet wrote:

I give that nutbag Bachman a better shot that Palin.
I also give an ice cube a better shot of lasting in hell than either one of the winning the general election

No BS. Palin has no shot. None. Palin is just a pretty face, there is no substance there, she should be seen and not heard. The GOP better find a serious candidate soon (and Palin isn't one of them), or we're looking at a second term for Obama.SuperHornet wrote:free7694 wrote:

Woman, I'm not part of the anti Palin crowd, but don't get your panties in a bunch- Palin ain't running, and if she does, she has about as much chance of winning the Republican nomination as the Redskins do of making the Super Bowl.SuperHornet wrote:free7694 wrote:

Maybe, maybe not. But I'd dearly LOVE to see the effect on clenz and our two resident lib trolls. Especially if she goes beyond winning the nom to winning the House. Now, THAT would be worth the price of admission!BDKJMU wrote:Woman, I'm not part of the anti Palin crowd, but don't get your panties in a bunch- Palin ain't running, and if she does, she has about as much chance of winning the Republican nomination as the Redskins do of making the Super Bowl.SuperHornet wrote:

(No, I'm not putting clenz in that category. He has an opinion and he defends it, but he by no means is trollish about it.)
The simple fact is is that Palin is so hated by the libs, and the vast majority of Repubs, that even without ANY negative press between now and election day, she still would lose to "the other guy", no matter who the other guy was (historical "bad guy terrorists" excluded). We all know how much "positive" attention she'd get from the press and interwebs as well.SuperHornet wrote:Maybe, maybe not. It sure as hell won't be Palin. SHe was slammed on her lack of expierence when she was the VP nominee. Imagine how much worst it will be if she runs for PResident? Additionally, she is way to polarizing and Republicans saw that in 2008. They saw what she was and how she conducted herself. I don't think she's a viable candidate and anyone telling her so, is dillusional.SuperHornet wrote:Not thrilled. There's a MUCH bigger announcement coming down in the next few months, I'm sure.
At least Obama had National Legislative experience. Palin was a mayor, in name only (essentially) and a Governor with a track record of quitting.clenz wrote:The simple fact is is that Palin is so hated by the libs, and the vast majority of Repubs, that even without ANY negative press between now and election day, she still would lose to "the other guy", no matter who the other guy was (historical "bad guy terrorists" excluded). Palin brings zero to the table, less than Obama....okay maybe the same amount, but not more. Palin is more polarizing that Obama, even within the Republican and Tea parties.
Palin won't happen, Bachman won't happen, given Perry's recent press, he likely won't happen either.
At this point unless a great candidate comes up by January the Republican party is better off letting Obama continue to fuck himself over (which sadly will hurt every American) and start to breed someone for 2016
OK. This made me laugh.houndawg wrote:It won't be a race at all if Perry starts prayin'...
