In High School history class the teacher, awesome guy, said if he ever was head of a country and he wanted to improve it his first and only order of business would be to attack/invade the U.S.A. Some shit would get blown up, and he would probably go on trial or die, but the infrastructure would be improved and the U.S.A. would pump Billions into it's economy.

Already tried the massive govt spending with over 1 trillion in stimulus (Bush's 150 billion and Obama's 862 billion) and 700 billion for TARP. That is on top of Obama increasing non security discretionary spending for 09' and 10' by close to 25%.

Massive govt spending has proved an abysmal failure. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Could say the same with extending the tax cuts, and not regulating Wall Street.

and how we'd be a whole lot worse off without the stimilus.

Marx Brothers made a movie with this theme.

Rufus T. Firefly is named president/dictator of bankrupt Freedonia and declares war on neighboring Sylvania

Sounds like a bad idea; we might be stuck there for decades. It might take years alone just to destroy the insurgency in the Texas province, but they do have oil so it's almost a given we should go in.

Anyways, have we verified if the US has weapons of mass destruction? ES should be reporting with the results soon.

But as long as we have a campaign of winning the hearts and minds and rebuilding the infrastructure and putting the local people to work, it might just work. :coffee: :coffee:

No. I get it.

We should get out of Afghanistan and Iraq and put our efforts into rebuilding our own country. Great. I agree.

But, if we were to do that... it would be Big Government butting in trying to stimulate the economy. It would be further evidence of the communist nazi's (lol) takeover of this country and dragging it into the ground. It would be an unconstitutional abuse of power. Etc. Etc.

you and all the teapartiers would go absolutely apeshit at the mere mention of building roads or bridges or having the government attempt to put people back to work. trust me. like i said, y'all spent all of 2009 bitching about exactly that. :?

I heard the southern provinces once tried to break away and form their own autominous state and were severely bitch slapped by the dictator at that time. Arm those crazy fuckers and they'll do half the work for you. Of course you need to bring in interpreters as they speak a very broken dialect.
