Open restroom for public events
We need to let the public know that Walnut Grove Park near 153rd and Q Streets does not have open public restrooms. There was a padlock on the restrooms on July 3 during a Tea Party rally.
We told the Omaha Parks and Recreation Department that we needed Walnut Grove Park’s public restrooms opened but were told the restrooms are not open at the park.
I believe public restrooms in Omaha parks should be open for public events and especially on weekends.
Rhonda Dugger, Omaha
Editor’s note: The Omaha Parks and Recreation Department said staff are not available to maintain city park restrooms. Groups can rent port-a-potties for an event.

That was the only obvious reply.
I remember when we had to be posted on the Battery every Sunday afternoon because the folks "cruisin da Battry" each Sunday would hop out of their cars and empty their Colt 45 laden baldders on people's lawns and bushes.

I am sure this is the wrong place for this, but a serious Tea Party irony.
I am all for their deficit hawk and low tax positions and their constitutional orthodoxy.
But answer me this. I hear the tea party talk about the constitution and holding our founding fathers in the highest esteem. do they realize that our founding fathers created a system of government that requires compromise

and they did that for a very good reason

Their makeup is largely partisan hacks, racists, and retards. I'm thinking in that order.

I agree with the partisan part, the rest is just bogus bullshit from the bullying left.
I love alliteration. Even bad alliteration.

I think there is a lot of overlap between the hacks and retards.

That still happens. But the Battery is now the spot for "Vampires" and gays to hang out at night and do...things.
At least, that is how it was when I was in high school.

The hardcore Ds already see him as a sell out and he needs a deal that won't have them staying home next year, so he is in a pretty tough spot.

The
hardcore Ds will never stay home, regardless of what O does.
The
non-hardcore Ds will take their instructions from MSNBC.
I think Obama's safe on that score.
