Former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich was surprised at his conviction on 17 of 20 felony counts.
Let me get this straight: was he surprised that he was convicted on
only 17 counts?

Blago is a typical Chicago pol. If everyone else is doing, then it must be ok. He really doesn't understand that he did anything wrong.

You mean "one" of the other ones, right? There's yet another one who was recently (and probably illegally) enthroned as Mayor of Chicago.
