Jus Sayin.............. :coffee:

So far the 2012 Top 5 GOP list of potential candidates looks like this: (for me)

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

I sure wish somebody would run that is conservative and not just another pussy democrat like that POS Lindsey Graham. I want to like Cain but Im sure the GOP will stab him in the back because he isnt white so he really isnt an option.

Perry is not a one-world Trilateral Bushite, AND he does not use one-syllable paragraphs.

Give it time AG - the GOP contenders haven't really started up the lie machines about what they'll do if elected. One of these fibbers will emerge as the best fabricator of half truths for the country to get behind. Meanwhile, Obama will start up his propaganda machine that all the stuff that's bad in the US right now isn't really happening, just a figment of our imaginations and/or someone else's fault

I just came back from Palmetto Boys State, Lindsey Graham spoke and I'd probably vote for him for some office in the future. The sad thing is that he got 800 on the SAT and he's one of the smarter guys in congress smh

I'm not wild about Perry. He beat Harvard College graduate (and UT Law Review member) Bill White for the governorship last year and mocked White's Ivy background. Perry's just another dumb Aggie in my book. :coffee:

I am not wild about Perry, either, but I am sure relieved that White did not come close in the election for governor.

Nothing personal against the Ivies or UT. My best friend was a Harvard undergard and editor of the UT Law Review.

What I really like about the Republican-dominated government in Texas is no income tax, effective tort reform, sensible lending regulation, great roads, and all the other factors which have contributed to a fiendly business climate and the expanding Texas economy. To the extent that Perry represents these policies and values effectively, I am in his corner!

Apparently the economic crisis was God punishing us for not following biblical economic principles and if we're not careful government will become our "faaayroh."

Obama turned down public financing in '08 and likely will again.

Any money he collected and is collecting was given willingly by supporters.

You know, free market and all. :thumb:

He won't donate his campaign funds, which were collected privately, he will donate your tax dollars, which weren't, through increased income redistribution policies. If he was generous with his own money, his aunt wouldn't be living in public housing in Mass.

I wouldn't say that. As a Civil Libertarian and economic realist, I'd rather vote for Perry. Sure he's what would be considered a religious right nutjub, but when you look past that he's got great credibility. He's been the governor of one of the most populous and economically thriving states in the union for a decade. He's got more credentials than Obama did that's for sure and other than the religious aspects I think he's a great candidate.

Obama is going to coast anyway, there isnt one single GOP person running right now that has any chance of being the corrupt, idiot community organizer that has no clue how to run anything let alone our country.

Rick Perry is the only chance us CONSERVATIVES have.
