People were hugging each other and dancing, before they were pysically assaulted at the Jefferson Memorial:
Is dancing silently and hugging grounds to be arrested? you be the judge:

Mr. Jefferson WOULD VOMIT at these GESTAPO like tactics and limits upon the freedom of expression. These "officers" should be FIRED along with their superiors who implemented this ridiculous policy. There is a memorial nearby to one who did enjoy the limiting of speech and who used these same tactics to limit it and I blame him...

Interesting FCS side note...
Right before the couple is arrested for hugging and kissing each other- there is a guy wearing an App State hat backwards filming.. maybe somebody knows if we can see his footage? is he a Championship Sub guy?
Anyway.. glad those cops arrested those people who were kissing each other.. that was a close one. Homeland 1 people showing love 0.

It's sad, because Jefferson was one of the few founding fathers who was not a Freemason, and he believed in freedom to the enth degree.
I also hope these cops loose their jobs- this is just pathetic and outrageous.

So how do you believe Freemasons restrict your freedom? Just curious.
You seem to have everything all figured out. I'm just trying to tap into your vast knowledge of how the world secretly runs. Please shed some light.

TJ was a Freemason, expando. And not just any Freemason, but a 32nd Degree Blue Grotto Freemason, who, contrary to his public image, was dedicated to bringing the entire New World under the control and authority of the Illuminati, most of whom now gather annually at Davos, Switzerland, to discuss their economic control of the planet.
The reason you don't see any film of the Davos meetings is that they don't want anybody to accidently see the secret handshake which identifies the insiders to each other. If that got out, anybody could just walk into Davos and attend any of their conferences and talk to world leaders and be mistaken for one of the Controllers.
And the guy with the ASU hat doing the filming is Appaholic. Be careful what you say around him, too; a lot of people here think that he knows a lot more than he's telling.....like the Charlie Daniels tune.....he may look dumb but that's just a disguise, he's a mastermind in the ways of espionage....

seems to me that there is more to the video than is shown. The guy gave him a warning. There are lots of rules to be followed in the memorials and these idiots were simply trying to make a point but in the end look like idiots instead

BULLSHIT! NOWHERE in the 'late united states' is it an arrestable offense to dance, hug, or kiss. Not even at Liberty, Furman, or Oral Roberts.

I doubt that, the memorials are pretty tight places. At the jefferson memorial they don't play, you can't even pretend to run up the stairs Rocky style.

Technically it CAN be an arrestable offense if that "display" disturbs or "breaches" the public peace, regardless of whether the actions are lawful, unlawful, or even involve noise. Not saying I support the officer's decision, but it was pretty clear this group assembled for the purpose of legally provoking the Capitol police. If you watch the video, the group is spread out within the rotunda, not standing together, and as police arrest one protester, others move a distance away and begin dancing around. Notwithstanding the one idiot who grabbed the detained protester's arm and tried to pull him away from the officer (interfering), if the other protester's actions disturbed the peace of non-protesters in the rotunda, then they could arguably be in violation of "breach of peace" or "unlawful assembly" laws (don't forget, "unlawful assembly" doesn't require that "unlawful actions" be the intent or act...the mere assembly of protesters in a manner which "breaches the peace", makes the event an "unlawful assembly").
Again, these laws are subjective, and IMHO the officer's allowed their egos to interfere with their judgement. In fairness to the effect on rule of law, folks like Adam Kokesh only expand the boundaries of interpretation to be exploited by Anti-American fucks like Code Pink, World Can't Wait, CAIR, etc... Adam may be a patriot at heart, but his actions could realistically aid those whose purpose is to destroy America.

I agree with just about every point here. A random person sucking face with his bitch is never going to draw ire at the Jefferson Memorial. This was a coordinated event by a bunch of douchebags who got exactly what they wanted. The officers, from the Park Police, are likely people who couldn't get hired by a better agency, and undoubtedly don't get a whole lot of practice in heated situations like this. I think they did OK, all things considered.

From what I could read between the lines from the obviously slanted video, there is an ordnance against demonstrating at the monument. This group had obviously planned, for lack of a better term, a kiss-in to see if it could get a rise of out the park police. It did. The police gave them sufficient warning to desist with their coordinated action. They refused. They were arrested.
I guess it all comes down to if you think a coordinated act of civil disobedience is an arrestable offense. It certainly has been throughout our history as a nation.

seems like that ordinance is VERY selectively enforced

Yeah, it looks like the "demonstrators" got what they wanted. I think the police were doing what they thought was correct, but probably should have just let them go. The dancers would have gotten bored and left.

Hickory is good, too.
One of our old horse patrol guys was a former SEAL (Vietnam) and he was a boatswain's mate, so he knew how to do all those fancy rope knots and wraps. He did all the long batons, and he said that hickory wood bonds to the twine better than other woods.

This. A guy wearing a "Disobey" t-shirt tells me there may be more to this before the start of the video.
