Los Angeles cop Sgt. Ronald Crump has won a $1M judgment in a lawsuit filed against the LAPD because of retaliation he suffered after complaining about anti-gay mistreatment by a superior.
Sgt. Ronald Crump sued the city last year, alleging that his direct supervisor at the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Section -- Lt. John Romero -- made derogatory remarks about his homosexuality. Romero, who has since been promoted to captain, allegedly described him as "the new Ruby minus the heels," in reference to the woman he replaced in the unit. On another occasion, Romero allegedly told him, "I was a religion major at Liberty University. Jerry Falwell would roll over in his grave if he knew I had hired you."

Man, why can't the moderate, accepting Christians police these intolerant fucks?

GOD i love California.............they are never going to get out of debt when they keep spending money on frivolous sh*t like this.

I know about 5 gay cops on the Charleston Police Dept.

They never had any problems. One of them was a SGT opposite me in the next precinct and one of my best friends on the dept.

Generally speaking, in police work if you can trust the guy or gal next to you it doesn't matter what their orientation is.

(BTW- I'd say as many as 10-15% of the white female cops at CPD are gay, too.)

Well, apparently he "hired" him. I can't believe someone could win a million bucks in a suit because someone made some cracks about them.

I don't understand why people talk about "intolerance" as though it's "bad" or unusual. All of us are intolerant of things. Society has all sorts of "zero tolerance" policies both formal and informal. There's intolerance of saying LOTS of things if those things don't line up with the "acceptable" way to think. Here, for instance, we have an example of intolerance against freely expressing what one thinks about homosexuality.

"Progressives" or "liberals" (pick your terminology) tend to be, I think, some of the most intolerant people in the world when it comes to repressing thoughts and ideas. If you step on one of their sacred cows you'd better get ready for hell.

Its perfectly OK to be intolerant of the things the left wants you to be intolerant about.

Shit*ing on everyones personal rights be damned, you will do what we say when we say it.

Its all about power and control.......nothing else.
