Yes. I think it should be. When the public trusts, well not all that much, the TSA and airlines with their stuff I think they should be held to a much much higher standard. If this guy was stealing from peoples bags, you know damn well that this is just the first time he got caught and had done it hundreds of times before.

I guess I don't view TSA guys the same way I view cops. Dirty cops = most offensive type of theif (extortion, etc) to me. This guy stealing is more akin to a valet stealing from your car when they park it. Sucks, but more petty than vile.

Stealing the change from your ashtray, a CD, or a pack of gum from your car pisses you off but is not that big of a deal. Stealing from your luggage is much worse.

I have had many knives, cigar cutters and cigar lighters, shoes, a watch, my wife had a flat iron/other electronic stuff and a bunch of shoes as well. Kind of a bitch trying to replace, you know damn well the Airlines/TSA don't give two shits if your shit gets jacked they won't be reimbursing you, your stuff when you get to your destination.
