TTBF: I will name 5 current Conk "media stars"or politicians that I would gladly consign to the scrap heap of history -- that's "shitcan," for the uninitiated -- if you do the same for the Donks. Ground rules: No politicians out of office (Bush, any Kennedy) count, unless they become media stars; nobody dead (Reagan, most Kennedys); no media star whose show has been cancelled for lack of ratings (Beck?). I'll start:
1. Sean Hannity -- how did this blowhard ever get his own show? Can't carry O'Reilly's jockstrap.
2. Oliver North -- should've been fragged by his own men in Khe Sanh.
3. Michelle Bachmann -- I know you lust after her, but... Jesus God...
4. Mike Huckabee -- hey, guvnah, keep livin' large on the Fox payroll, you sanctimonious twit!
5. Newt Gingrich: I call you out, Newton Leroy ('" win it for the Zipper!") McPherson!

I like Oliver North. And I think the biggest reason is the way he single handedly bitch slapped posturing politicians during the Iran Contra hearings. I'd like to see that kind of thing more often. One of the most ridiculous things on this planet is a Congressional "investigation." It's all about a media show and I wish more people called to "testify" before Congress would show the people interviewing them the level of respect they deserve; which is very little.
Like the thing with the oil industry executives. Seriously. Pure demagoguery. The oil industry execs ought to be willing to say stuff like, "Look, you have no clue as to what you're talking about. I know you want to posture for the cameras but I'm not playing your game. And if you want to screw me in retaliation and thereby screw the public by screwing up their energy supply be my guest. Idiot."

Thanks, JSO. But the challenge was issued to TTBF, not to you.

Not much of a challenge - though with Alan Grayson gone there goes one... (caveat - i don't watch much punditry these days - as I don't have cable... oddly enough? I don't miss it...)
1. Maxine Waters
2. Michael Moore
3. Dennis Kucinich
4. Nancy Pelosi
5. Ariana Huffington
done and done.

I'd like to pork Kucinich's old lady. My morning wood is bigger than a barefoot Kucinich.

So it's slightly larger than a matchstick, is what you're saying?

In the sense that a pine tree is slightly larger than an ax handle, yes.

In spite of how personally pleasing his testimony was, the fact that Oliver North even existed is due to a burgeoning problem in government today: appointees or designees with no Congressional oversight. Think czars.

Or US Attorneys General. Think Gunrunner.
(However, we see why it would be so tempting to have a Czar handle things like that because then they don't have to get their butts handed to them by Congress. Who do those pesky people think they are?! Senators??)
