I recently watched an interesting documentary about it called "American Drug War, The Last White Hope". Now, it's pretty clear the movie had a left leaning stance but I found it exposed a lot of things.

I'm looking for a discussion on the War on Drugs, information the documentary brings to light, etc...

This could be fun.

Well, it would more properly be called the "War on some drugs". And there is way too much money involved to ever "win" that war. What would the CIA do if they, for example, hypothetically of course, needed some untraceable cash and a lot of it really quick to buy some weapons to trade for hostages?

We'll be losing this war for a long, long time to come.

People needed to stop hating and start supporting their local grower and smoke only US-grown weed.

Really no left or right when it comes to "the war on drugs", it's really all about big money (alcohol, tobacco, and drug companies) vs common sense.

Um....more or less. It believes whitie started the war on drugs and got the black culture hooked on drugs to keep them down and arrest them.

I think you mean anthropocentric?

I'm not going to watch that right now but if it says something about the "War on Drugs" in part having its origins in racial and ethnic motivations I've seen a History Channel special saying the same thing.

But it really doesn't matter what the motivation is to me. As far as I'm concerned the "War on Drugs" is a war on personal Liberty as well as complete blasphemy against everything this country was, at its origin, supposed to be about.
