Be sure to let Mike Mullen know he's also wrong, dumbass.
US authorities described Pakistan's ISI intelligence agency as a "terrorist" organisation, according to a leaked US document.
The document was published in some US and European newspapers as part of a series of leaked documents distributed by the website, Wikileaks.
It said the US saw the ISI as a threat on par with al-Qaeda and the Taliban.
Last week, the US military's top officer, Adm Mike Mullen, accused the ISI of having links with the Taliban.
He said the ISI had a "long-standing relationship" with a militant group run by Afghan insurgent Jalaluddin Haqqani, which targets US troops in Afghanistan.
Pakistan rejected the accusation with Pakistan's army chief, Gen Ashfaq Kayani, saying it was "negative propaganda" by the US.
The latest leak comes as US-Pakistan ties have been under severe strain.
There has been growing anger in Pakistan about US drone strikes in the north-west of the country.
And controversy over a CIA contractor who shot dead two Pakistani nationals earlier this year also soured ties between Washington and its ally Islamabad.
The reference to Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI, comes in a briefing document designed to guide people who are involved in interrogating and classifying detainees in Guantanamo Bay.
It sets out a range of criteria for assessing how much of a threat someone poses and also how likely they are to have valuable intelligence.
At the end, it lists almost 70 organisations which are, it says, "terrorist and terrorist support entities identified as associate forces".
The list includes the Taliban, the al-Qaeda network and Pakistan's ISI.
It is unclear when the document dates from. Some analysts say its classification code suggests it was produced in 2007.

Wow...that's actually kinda scary.
Wonder if we're going to ask the Pakistani government to do some cleaning up in the ISI.

ISI like EVERY intelligence agency has its hands in and on a great many pies. countries don't have friends...only INTERESTS. the admiral if you asked him would not say what you did above in public. we have to work with these people and exactly what you did above is the problem with wikileaks.

Mike Mullen said IN PUBLIC last week that ISI is tied to the Taliban last week. Not much different at all from what I said.
"It's fairly well known that the ISI has a long-standing relationship with the Haqqani network," Adm Mullen told Pakistan's Dawn newspaper.
"Haqqani is supporting, funding, training fighters that are killing Americans and killing coalition partners. And I have a sacred obligation to do all I can to make sure that doesn't happen."
He said the spy agency's support of the network remained at the "core ... and the most difficult part of the relationship" and that he would take it up with Pakistan's army chief Gen Ashfaq Kayani.
There are unconfirmed reports that Osama was in an ISI safehouse... under ISI protection. Again, unconfirmed... but, we'll know one way or the other eventually. And, if he was being protected by ISI, you'll certainly have an egg on your face.

Is the CIA, British Intelligence, Mossad, etc. supporting, training, funding fighters that are killing Americans and coalition partners?
And you should let Mike Mullen know that ISI is no big deal and we should take them off of organizations that support terrorism. Or that we should add the CIA to the list.

If the answer is yes... link?

You should write an urgent message to Mike Mullen and the US officials cited in the documents and let them know that ISI's ties to the Taliban are exaggerated and that they don't pose as significant a threat to us as Al Qaeda. Clearly they lack your knowledge and expertise.

i don't recall Pakastani Intelligence flying hijacked airliners into buildings in new york city. the point of this little exercise is that things are not as crystal clear in the real world as they are for you sitting behind your computer in your mother's basement. ISI is acting EXACTLY as they are being directed by their government to act. They know that we are not always going to be there, especially when your president insists on telling them exactly when we plan to leave, and that they will be.

Uhhh...the CIA did support the Afghans that are killing our troops. Heck, we just sold guns to Mexicans who killed at least one of our people. In fact, we've done things like that throughout our history. Today's allies are tomorrow's enemy. And you can bet that Mossad and the others have looked the other way and allowed some of our people to be killed...heck, we have too, right or wrong, in order not to compromise a "bigger" prize.
But citdog, you have got to be out of your mind if you don't want people talking about the ISI and their relationships with bad guys. It is a joke watching the administration's PR people try to sugar coat the subject.

What's a joke is watching us scramble for an excuse to stay in that neighborhood now that it's Mission Accomplished time.
