That is all we heard about in the news when a Republican governor decided to take away collective bargaining rights to save his state some money.
Why isn't what is happening on Mass on the news? Dems eating their young.

BOSTON — The Massachusetts House voted Tuesday to dramatically strengthen the power of city and town leaders to change health insurance plans for municipal employees over the objections of unions.
The 111-42 vote late Tuesday came after House leaders agreed to modify their original plan in the hopes of heading off labor opposition.

Waiting for the teacher's unions to come out and complain about the democratic party assault on labor and the middle class...also, when can we expect the teachers to blow off work and to solidarity for their policemen and firemen comrades by protesting at the capitol?
Any second now....

I can't speak for other dems - but my objection to what happened in Wisconsin was about taking away the collective bargaining rights of unions... this would appear to be apples to oranges. while i'm not thrilled with this... it's a far cry from what happened in Wisconsin. the unions will still be able to negotiate with their employer and still strike. their rights are still intact.

Houndawg has likely spent more time in factories supervising union workers than you have banker boy.
Let me clear something up for you paper pushing pale pussies: Front line supervisors, where the real work is done and the suits are seldom seen, love unions. They would never say so out loud of course, but it makes their job much easier on the floor, where the rubber meets the road and the money for bonuses-for-those-who-know-nothing is made.
Since most of you clowns who spend your time whimpering about unions have never actually worked on a factory floor, let an old line supervisor help you out: On a non-union floor the most expendable person to the guy in Cap'n Cat's chair is the line supervisor. Why? For the simple fact that the guy in Cap'n's chair has been given a list of goals and achievements which figure into his bonus. Safety and productivity, of course - but Job 1 is to maintain a union-free environment. If the troops start making union noise it is a simple matter to replace that hard-ass who has been cracking down (at the direction of the guy in Cap'n's chair) with another, kinder, gentler, supervisor. In a union shop all you have to do is keep a copy of the contract in your pocket and follow it to the letter. Boss chewing your ass because production isn't increasing fast enough? Sorry, boss, but I gotta go by the contract you negotiated.
