Gary Johnson, former Gov. From New Mexico just announced. Maher used to have him on the program from time to time, primarily because hes pro-legalization, but he also seems to have good leadership skills and his veto record suggets hes not afraid to stand up to the status quo.
If the Gopers were smart enough to push the social conservatives to the back of the bus, you might get some independents like me voting for this guy.

I used to know Gary back in the day when I had some business dealings with him. I'd vote for him in a second.

If he's pro legalization, he has zero chance at the GOP nomination.

Neither party will divest themselves of their particular nuts.
That's why there will only ever be two kinds of presidential candidates: the Say Anythings and the Frauds.
Sometimes a combination of the two.

This.
he'll have some success organizing more sane libertarian conks (some of the paultards are beyond help)... but the GOP, and the country as a whole still seems about a decade away from a responsible debate about the merits of marijuana legalization... and this issue will overwhelm his campaign

I haven't read a lot on this guy, but just from the news clippings and the interviews I've seen from him today... I'd be willing to give the guy a shot.
