They have a need to be included in a group and buy into shit like cult members do. Even if it is pointed out that their theories don't make sense they go back to come up with some other superfluous clue that acts as the glue to keep them together. They can not seem to question things in their own "cult" and hold them up to the light as they are trying to hold perceived facts and mere coincidences.

They fell for something, they feel they have to cling to it and the cult leaders vision in order to have some sort of usefulness or special place in society. Lacking the ability to do your own critical thinking must be a gigantic burden and I can't imagine living in that world. There are just way too many credible theories to give these kinds of things much more than a passing glance.

To complete the analysis I will end by also saying that it is my feeling that these people have some idea that they/we were invincible and could not have possibly been open to an attack by a group of mongrels looking to do us harm.

Oil companies have invested plenty in alternative fuels, we all know it's the future (including them), they're just screwing us out of as much money as they can before switching to said fuels and frequent trips to wherever to replenish said fuel supply becomes less frequent than to the gas pump because eventually it'll be more efficient.

Here is where you go completely off the rails. I said in the first post I made on the thread that I had posted this in the past and gave no indication that I did not agree that there could be merit to this one.
