Rather than buying a new laptop, I got an iPad instead. Longer battery life and less trips to the library in the post-industrial era, cleaner, simpler, smaller, slows down my typing, connects me with my CS.com community, makes me happy.
(actually, this is all good stuff to do chizzy)

Just a quick question. If I were to take a trip to, say, Alaska, is there a low impact way to do it, or would I have to fly on planes that used obnoxious amounts of petroleum and such?

Its people like Cleets that make me have to burn copious amounts more fuel, electricity etc to make up for them not using their share.
BTW-I just used my auto start to let my truck run idle for 20 mins while making this post.

After creating the outline, bullet points and doing the research, Id say 20 mins was a very conservative estimate.

The noblest service opportunity on the planet has presented itself on the northeast coast of Japan. Selfless volunteers are required to potentially save thousands, nay MILLIONS, of lives if nuclear armageddon can be averted. Are you with me Chizzang? Let us join the next crew of water boys cooling the reactors!
