Is every person here illegally not going to commit another crime within our borders? NO

However, I do not fault a person for wanting to come here to create a better life for him/herself and be willing to achieve that by circumventing the enormously inefficient immigration process in order to do that. I know a college professor with Canadian and South African citizenship that has been in the system for YEARS and still cannot get citizenship.

Most illegals are not here to smuggle drugs, commit murder, rape, etc...they are simply trying to create a better life and would rather do it sooner rather than later.

Do we need better enforcement of immigration laws? Yes. Do I support Arizona's law? Yes. Does the crime of rape of this one awful humanoid reflect the ethics and actions of the vast majority of illegals? No.

And can we all agree that rapists should be castrated?

Illegal or legal immigrants? If they are illegal, by definition the crime rate has increased because being here illegally is a crime.

Fewer reported crimes leads to a lower offical reported crime rate but not neccessarily fewer crimes.

I'm not sure what the "Yankee Goverment" has to do with this, Bush had control of the House and Senate for 6 years and did very little to stop illegal immigration.

First, you are obviously not well informed of US history as Citdogs sees it. In case you are not aware the "Yankees" won the "War of Northern Aggression" - or what northerners call the "US Civil War" in 1865. To the winner goes the spoils and whoever wins writes the history books. So under Citdogs reasoning, since the Yankees won the war, it's been a "Yankee Government" ever since 1861 when the South first succeeded from the Union. It doesn't matter to him if remocrats or depublicans controlled the government, it was all in the family and essentially the same bunch of Yankees fighting over the bones of the corpse.

Well, in the world of public opinion, personal experience means little, and somebody else's mileage may vary, but I will offer my personal experience....


Immigrant communities are EXTREMELY insular. They rarely call the cops for anything, unless it has spilled over into the rest of the community. That is why we really did not have many problems with the Hispanic community until MS-13 hit the streets. They were just so evil that they could not be ignored, even by a community that was distrustful of the police (because they thought they would be deported). Asians, Hispanics, Arabs, and Indians generally handle these kinds of issues internally for two reasons.

1. They prefer their own kind and do not want to make their own business others' business.

2. They are not used to nanny state policing. IN Vietnam, if you get beat up, ytou don't call the cops because they are just going to charge you lunch money. The same goes in India, Mexico, Zimbabwe, and Lebanon. They have not yet realized that when they call the police, they are going to get free crisis counseling, free police services, free paper, lots of attention, and maybe even a tort or two.

Trust me I'm well aware of CitDog and HIS version of the Civil War. I've had many years of arguing with citdog about the Civil War over at the AGS message board. I wish the North didn't win the Civil War because look at what we ended up with....The South Gen. Sherman should have burnt down ALL of the South, this way we could start over again Right now I'm reading Southern Storm: Sherman's March to the Sea by Noah Andre Trudeau, when I'm done I'll send it to citdog to read, maybe he'll learn something, but I doubt it. Don't get me wrong, I love citdog, I really do respect the guy, he is very knowledgeable about the Civil War. But there is something that gives me great pleasure in pissing the guy off.

I was at Fort Sumter recently, as I was in 1861, and a marker there points out where the "Swamp Angel" was located on nearby Morris Island . I watched these yankees read the monument where it is pointed out that the scum in blue opened fire at 1:30 in the morning with ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING on the sleeping women and children inside Charleston. To see their faces when they found out the how low down and despicable the deeds of their ancestors were in attempting to defeat a people who ONLY WANTED TO BE FREE was a highlight of my day.

Anyway, now a practical solution to our illegal immigration problem: Take over Mexico.
A border with Guatamala will be easier to defend, Mexican factories will suddenly have to compete on an even playing field with American factories, access to more oil, no longer need a passport to vacation in Cancun or Cozumel, all the Mexicans want to be Americans anyway, and our national guard will be better able to deal with the drug lords. I see it as a major win.
