Several sources, including CNN, are reporting that Mit Romney is about to "suspend" his campaign...

If this is the case, I guess McCain is the defacto GOP nominee...who else could stop him?

Romney got hurt by the format of the Republican primaries - Winner-take-all in many states.

Romney's big problems in CA were lack of name recognition and the fact that his ads targeted the wrong opponent: Hillary. It was WAY too soon to start going after the Donkeys. That strategy lost it right there.

Caucuses? What do you think of this method of selecting the party nominee?
I think is more like some sort of communism than it is a democratic process.
Where is is said that voters only have voting rights in the general elections?
Ban the caucuses, the process is smelly.

Mitt Romney suspended his bid for the Republican presidential nomination Thursday, saying if he continued it would "forestall the launch of a national campaign and be making it easier for Senator Clinton or Obama to win."
"In this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding a surrender to terror. This is not an easy decision. I hate to lose," the former Massachusetts governor said.
"If this were only about me, I'd go on. But it's never been only about me. I entered this race because I love America, and because I love America, in this time of war I feel I have to now stand aside for our party and for our country."
