This is a totally new style of war. The Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) is making it so no one can move without being noticed. Of course Russia still maintains a far greater capability than Ukraine in artillery, so they can just keep inching along and chewing up Ukraine, albeit slowly.

my favorite part was when they nearly surrounded kyiv and kharkiv in a brilliant feint at the beginning of the war, only to later reveal their grand strategy: a totally new style of war. inching along. slowly. with some humiliating tactical retreats along the way.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2023 7:40 pm This is a totally new style of war. What does your post have to do with the fact both sides have a ton of surveillance and it's changed how war is waged?Skjellyfetti wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 6:53 pmmy favorite part was when they nearly surrounded kyiv and kharkiv in a brilliant feint at the beginning of the war, only to later reveal their grand strategy: a totally new style of war. inching along. slowly. with some humiliating tactical retreats along the way.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2023 7:40 pm This is a totally new style of war. You should look up the definition of the word capability. You obviously don't understand what that means.

So how fast are the neocons going to pivot away from Ukraine, now that Israel has come under attack?

Probably about as fast as the MAGAt yahoos pivot away from stroking putin’s pecker to carrying MBS’s water. Which side of this is he going to come down on?SeattleGriz wrote:So how fast are the neocons going to pivot away from Ukraine, now that Israel has come under attack?

In any event, they hate the Iranians.
The greater war is still authoritarianism. Israel is a democracy. Russia, most of the Middle East are not.

Wut? Not following what you're saying. All the "MAGAt yahoos" I've seen have been for negotiated peace from the start.UNI88 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 7:29 pmProbably about as fast as the MAGAt yahoos pivot away from stroking putin’s pecker to carrying MBS’s water. The war in Ukraine is pretty much over. The neocons lost and now need to pivot.

Yes. They were very close to better relationships. This all started with Trump. He got them to realize the Palestinians were never going to be happy, so the Middle East should press on with improving relations.

While I'm not a fan of Kushner, he was instrumental. Far more than any one in the past at normalizing those relations.kalm wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 4:05 amI was thinking it was the international relations mastermind Kushner who was brokering the deal?SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 9:27 pm

To be honest, I'd bet the whole goal was getting Saudi to realize how much more money/business they could be doing by finally ignoring the Palestinians.
We'll see how long this pause lasts.

Re: The Ukraine Crisis
trump and kushner had a positive impact on peace in the Middle East. Maybe it was good intentions, maybe it was greed, maybe it was a blind squirrel finding a nut. Doesn't matter, they deserve credit for it. Hopefully Hamas and Iran don't screw it up.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 10:39 amWhile I'm not a fan of Kushner, he was instrumental. MBS and the Saudis were spreading blood money everywhere after the journalist was butchered at their embassy - no sales job necessary.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 10:39 amWhile I'm not a fan of Kushner, he was instrumental. Far more than any one in the past at normalizing those relations.

Did all Democrats waive the Ukraine flag without even being able to find it on a map?
