Literally the second reply tweet asks what part of this would anyone have a problem with…..SDHornet wrote:BuT cRt IsNt TaUgHt In ScHoOlS
I'm not sure what's wrong with that perspective. At that, Granger argued that critical race theory is a different discussion entirely. Following that commentary, she noted that she thinks there hasn’t been enough focus on “Black excellence,” and added that there’s been too much focus on the hardships of Black people.
“I want to see Black people thrive. We are not victims, OK? Even though we have been victimized, we are not victims,” Granger said. “We are here to grow, and there’s beauty in us, and we are winning out here. So I want to see that more often. And I don’t want to constantly tell my 6-month-old daughter that she’s a victim.”
The only racial, ethnic and tribal identities that are forbidden are for whites.
I don’t follow them. And I didn’t expect you to see (or admit) the problem.
What’s the problem?
1) The question, if it really was asked, is condescending, self-righteous, partisanly political and probably racist.
You think it's not wise to follow LibsofTikTok, but you post a thread by Judd Legum?
Perhaps, but asking that question to an AP government class seems relevant in light of the shit show that is our politics. Or should we now also be shielding high school juniors and seniors from uncomfortable topics which they’ll be earning the right vote on soon?
Sure he has an axe, but if you can’t tell the difference between this tweet and libs of tiktok, I don’t know how to help you.
Politics are a shitshow. But THAT question is akin to “have you stopped beating your wife”?kalm wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 8:31 amPerhaps, but asking that question to an AP government class seems relevant in light of the shit show that is our politics. Just for fun, how would you answer the question?

I would probably leave it blank and then contest the question with the teacher and principal (I intentionally failed HS health class for refusing to complete the required assignments on principle).kalm wrote:Perhaps, but asking that question to an AP government class seems relevant in light of the shit show that is our politics. What if the test included the following question?
Who would be foolish enough to believe that socialism will work on a large scale?
A) Complete and utter morons
B) Democrats
C) Gullible fools
D) All of the above
FYI the answer is D.

The difference is easy.
The only reason Libs of TikTok is famous is it is basically like Walmart. One stop shop for all your crazy progressive rants in a convenient, unedited spot (one can go back and see the original content).Baldy wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 12:24 pmThe difference is easy.
One is an aggregator of far left progressives posting their unedited videos online showing the world who they really are.
The other is one of those far left progressives who tweets propaganda of how he wants people like that to be perceived.
It's not really that hard for you to understand, is it?
I wrote the question, i pick the anwer. Take it up with the principal if you don't like it.kalm wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 11:47 amWrong!UNI88 wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 10:23 am I would probably leave it blank and then contest the question with the teacher and principal (I intentionally failed HS health class for refusing to complete the required assignments on principle).

The Democratic Party loves their crony capitalism as much as the next guy.
But are you really afraid to answer the first question? “Most likely” can ease your discomfort.
One is a right wing social media influencer who owns the libs. The other is a tweet substantiated by reporting.Baldy wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 12:24 pmThe difference is easy.

Yes it is. And that no more hurts my feelings or creates guilt than knowing understanding the extent of damaged cause by racism over the centuries.UNI88 wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 1:18 pmI wrote the question, i pick the anwer. Take it up with the principal if you don't like it.
If I had to answer or die, I would say Republican but that doesn't change the fact that it is a flawed, biased and leading question whose objective is very likely to demonize a major political party not to test knowledge or logic.
How about this question ...
Which American political party has the longest history of promoting and defending the oppression of people of color?
A) Republican
B) Democratic
C) Libertarian
D) Green
The answer is B

But hey…you do you.
