Dude, this is the greatest thing since sliced bread - Vlad the Mad has become an irritating little prick for a number of years now and now he has badly miscalcultaed the resolve of NATO and the abilites of his military and he's paying a richly deserved penalty for his miscalculation; now his only hope is to hang on and hope Trump gets re-elected before Putin runs out of money and his troops run out of will to fight. You're the one thats butthurt by your blind rage/hate for Joe Biden. But guess what? JB is pulling off a political masterstroke in the same vein FDR did in WW2 when he made sure that Stalin got enough equipment to fight but not enough to go on the offensive outside Russia. Stalin was enraged by that but there was nothing he could do. Similarly, JB is making sure that Ukraine has enough NATO gear to take on Russia and beat them in the field without giving them the stuff that would let them take the fight across their border and give Putin the "invasion" he needs to sell his war to the Russian people. We get somebody else to do the killing against one of our two main adversaries.
Our export stuff works to the point that Russia's air force is shooting from across the border in spite of the lack of a Ukrainian air force. Think about what we have that we're not showing. I bet China is.
You matter. Unless you multiply yourself by c squared. Then you energy.

Here’s an interesting thread started by an economist who worked in both RUS and UKR. You could say he wrote the book on Putin.houndawg wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 5:03 amAlready did my service bro, not my fault we used diplomats back then - maybe you could head over there and give the Russians a little help...put your money where your mouth is so to speak

One of the solutions to this problem was for Biden to drill his way out of it which he could do with the stroke of a pen...instead that demented fuck did the opposite because "muh climate change"...but Trump or something.

Re: The Ukraine Crisis
From a friend who was infantry and studies this shit…especially Soviet era strategy.
I don’t know if you are able to open this. It shows the strike potential of various types of artillery. Both traditional (M777)and the soon to be M270 and M142. It’s quite a difference. One notable thing about the MLRS. Since it’s range is so increased there is no chance of counter battery fire to destroy it. The only other option would be Russian sorties flying deep into enemy territory. That is poised with anti aircraft positions and individuals with anti aircraft systems. It’s going to be a poo poo day for the reds. It’s interesting. I was noting that there was a larger amount of anti aircraft systems being transferred. ZSU systems. And western ones as well. It makes sense as our doctrine is that of defensible air space around long range artillery pieces. And there you have it. Crazy times my man.

Re: The Ukraine Crisis
Biden doesn't decide to drill, oil companies decide to drill. Which they'd be foolish business people to do now. I'm waiting for you to explain why they would want oil prices to come down, ever.SDHornet wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 7:09 pmYou realize these high oil prices are what is funding his war machine right?houndawg wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 5:03 am

30,000 dead Russians.
You expect people defending their homes to quit?

We're like the Spartans of old. No need to send in an army, just allow them access to our military expertise and they can blunt the advance of a much larger opponent. Not sure how this doesn't end in a stalemate, but certainly better than if we didn't help at all.

Are you okay that we provide information that will be used to kill Russians? Russians that had no choice or idea what they were getting into. Are you okay with us pushing this war via proxy?GannonFan wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 12:10 pmWe're like the Spartans of old. Re: The Ukraine Crisis
As long as they're killing Russians who are in Ukraine and are actively prosecuting a devastating war then yes, I'm perfectly okay with that. We live in an age of maximum information. These guys had to know, on some level, that they were prosecuting a war, whether a valid war or not. Even if they didn't, they surely knew once they were firing their guns at other people, barraging the countryside or cities with heavy artillery, or burying the dead to hide what they were doing. Nothing Ukraine did in any way justifies Russia invading. I'm okay with standing up to the concept of "spheres of influence" when they involve a much larger nation deciding to launch an offensive war almost akin to genocide to enforce that sphere. Even if that means that Russian soldiers die. They didn't need to invade. They did. War sucks.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 1:07 pmAre you okay that we provide information that will be used to kill Russians? Russians that had no choice or idea what they were getting into.
