That's super close. He has no room error.

States where the margin of victory was under 1% (50 electoral votes; 46 won by Trump, four by Clinton):

Michigan, 0.23%
New Hampshire, 0.37%
Pennsylvania, 0.72% (tipping point state, including two faithless GOP electors)
Wisconsin, 0.77% (tipping point state, excluding the two faithless GOP electors)

That's a super narrow margin that helped usher him into the White House. And he was going up against an equally repulsive, god awful candidate. All eyes are on Pennsylvania.

Yeah, because it really matters that I'm right on a football message board.

I was playing around with it and forgot what states I chose earlier. Does it matter?

I suspect the tale is apocryphal but the fact that Georgia is even in play to the point where they can't even worry about masking the voter suppression..... :ohno:
Now explain why Biden is having to fight for his home state of Pennsylvania...and Minnesota and Michigan and Wisconsin. You gonna blame that on the voter suppression myth too?
just a warmup, he'll win PA. :coffee:

Wouldn't that be a kicker if Biden wins PA but somehow loses Michigan or Georgia and still loses anyway (Trump would hit 270 even in that case)? PA is really up in the air though, I could see Biden losing here. Wolf did him no favors through the past year.

I'd be shocked if Georgia didn't go to Biden in this election. I think he's in real trouble if he can't pull Georgia into his column.

I think Biden 314. Hope I'm wrong again.

I see it close and the Ds getting a Senate seat. Its just too hard to envision Georgia voting Blue in this day and age - maybe if Stacy abrams were VP..

So you're saying 400 is out of reach then. :coffee:
Also saying Trump is not out of reach for winning with so many border-line states.

I'm amazed that Georgia is a toss up state and normally I don't think it'll go blue. HOWEVER, it is 2020 and all bets are off. California goes Red, the deep south goes blue and we're deadlocked at 269-269 is probably what the Universe has in store for us. :twocents:

New poll from WSB yesterday showed Trump increased his lead to +4.

I'll admit that I don't have my thumb on the pulse of GA politics - I'm like Ibanez speculating on PA politics - being closer is better to gauge those things most of the time.

I'm better with NC since i'm on the border. Lord knows what's happening up there. After being in the area for almost 5 years I still haven't figured out this pig farmer/pirate colony of a state.

Well apparently they think they need to extend the time at the polls, because getting 2 weeks to vote (or whatever it is in NC) still isn't enough.

The extending time at the polls is a weird thing for me - unless there was an actual mechanical failure that prevented a machine from working at a precinct, why extend? And even then, why extend when you can just say whoever is in line at the end of the polling timeframe are the only ones allowed to still vote? With so much move to vote by mail and early voting windows, two weeks here or a month in some places, there's less and less need for this extending the poll times.

I told my wife that if you can’t your ass to a voting precinct with the 2-3 weeks of early voting or muscle the power to request and return a ballot within a month or so of an election then we shouldn’t be trying to help you beyond that. There’s plenty of time and chances.

That said - I’d you’ve postmarked a ballot with today’s date then it should be counted. But come on - get your shit together.
