Wow, long bus ride? My kids don't get on until 8:30 and get home at the same time. You people out west are just too spread out! :thumb:
We're only about 5 miles from the school but the Cheney School District is the largest in the state land wise, stretching about 30 miles from north to south and east to west. So yes, we are spread out. :)

5 miles gets me to 6 public and 10-15 private high schools (can't come close to counting lower schools). No wonder we have traffic problems. :x

The AFA are a bunch of pricks for implying it's justified for gays to be bullied mercilessly. But I DO sometimes wonder if the whole anti-bullying campaign has become too strictly fixated on gays. Fat kids, ugly kids, kids with asbergers, straight effeminate males or kids that are all-around just not socially adept also get bullied. Who is standing up for them?

I would not be at all surprised to find that the primary motivation for it is indeed to promote the homosexual lifestyle; especially since the Southern Poverty Law Center is involved.

Now, you can think that's a good thing or you can think that it's a bad thing. But the assertion that the event was designed in large measure to promote the homosexual lifestyle does not, to me, stretch credibility.

What I wrote at the time is absolutely correct. What I saw was a knee jerk response as to what the Christian organization had to say. The Christian organization had said...or at least implied...that the primary motivation for establishing the event was to promote the homosexual lifestyle. And in order to rebut that assertion you'd have to trace the event to its origins.

I have not done that. I went far enough to satisfy myself that it probably wasn't the primary...or at least sole...motivation.

But I would bet that you did not. I would bet that you have...for instance...accused me of ignorance when you knew nothing at all about the origin of the event. Now you may go back and research it. But you probably just went with the same knee jerk reaction as most people did.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?
