This is a criminal organization that needs to have funding stopped immediately and a complete gutting. Neither will happen. Another example of what makes the Trump admin fascist.
Detained immigrants have filed more than 20,000 lawsuits seeking their release
Trump administration continues detentions despite court rulings
Sheer scale of the lawsuits threatens to clog the judicial system
About 700 Justice Department attorneys deployed to represent the government in immigration cases
WASHINGTON, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Hundreds of judges around the country have ruled more than 4,400 times since October that President Donald Trump’s administration is detaining immigrants unlawfully, a Reuters review of court records found.
The decisions amount to a sweeping legal rebuke of Trump’s immigration crackdown. Yet the administration has continued jailing people indefinitely even after courts ruled the policy was illegal.

Lemon, now an independent journalist, faces allegations tied to his coverage of President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown in Minnesota.

"It is appalling that the Government insists that this Court should redefine or completely disregard the current law as it is clearly written," U.S. District Judge Thomas Johnston of West Virginia, an appointee of President George W. Bush, wrote last week, ordering the release of a Venezuelan detainee in the state.
Most of the rulings center on the Trump administration’s departure from a nearly three-decade-old interpretation of federal law that immigrants already living in the United States could be released on bond while they pursue their cases in immigration court.

Well I’m sorry your boy gets sued so much.

Are all 4400 cases the same? Is it a class action?

You do know the 5th is the most conservative appeals court in the land. I won’t hold my breath over the SCOTUS making the right ultimate ruling here if it goes that far. They already disregard the constitution.

Maybe we should increase staffing levels and court rooms and take it out of the gargantuan ICE budget?

Judges decry treatment of nursing and pregnant detainees in ICE custody
Federal judges are sounding alarms about the Trump administration’s treatment of pregnant and nursing detainees in ICE custody — and the administration has given the courts conflicting, unclear answers about whether it is following its own policies that sharply restrict those detentions.

Against that uncertainty, courts are being confronted with harrowing stories about women being separated from their nursing infants or housed in cramped and ill-equipped ICE facilities while pregnant, in conditions that threaten their health and have, in some cases, been followed by miscarriages.
Lots of examples of the trump MAQA Republican Party NOT being the Party of Life.

Another but, but, but deflection that doesn't address the actual post.

Separating a mother from a baby, denying adequate medical care, putting the mother and/or baby in overcrowded, unsanitary conditions, etc. aren't what a Party that calls itself the Party of Life and the Party of Family Value should be championing. Continue the hypocrisy and I will continue to call it out.

How does separating a nursing mother from her baby = family values?

Or is family values like the Bible, Christ's teachings, and Party of Life - we'll use them when they're convenient and support our agenda and ignore them when they don't?

Yes. Do you have kids? Do you have a grasp of English words and their multiple meanings? Do you know violence doesn’t have to include physical harm?

EG: BDK’s ignorance does great violence to rational debate.
Definitions of violence

An overarching definition

Violence is defined by the World Health Organization in the WRVH as “the intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against oneself, another person, or against a group or community, that either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, maldevelopment or deprivation”.4
This definition emphasises that a person or group must intend to use force or power against another person or group in order for an act to be classified as violent. Violence is thus distinguished from injury or harm that results from unintended actions and incidents. This definition also draws attention not only to the use of physical force but also to the use of threatened or actual power. Such power or force may be used against oneself, against an individual or against a group or community, as in gang violence or repression of ethnic groups. Violence is here defined not only as resulting in physical injury but as being present where psychological harm, maldevelopment or deprivation occurs; acts of omission or neglect, and not only of commission, can therefore be categorised as violent.

Behind big ICE raid, records reveal agents were trying to find a suspect they initially refused to pick up at jail
On the day of the raid, an ICE agent can be seen in a video posted to agency’s X account saying “Unfortunately we have to come to the communities because we don't get the cooperation from the jails."

A federal search warrant shows investigators were trying to find a 22-year-old Venezuelan man named Yenso Inglese Bocaranda.
...
While Bocaranda sat in jail, ICE agents could have picked him up before their raid weeks later.

We did notify Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and sent a detainer to them. They advised they weren't picking him up. He was later released on 12/06/24,” an Adams County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said over email.

ICE whistleblower warns new recruits are receiving "defective" training
"I am duty bound to tell you the ICE Basic Immigration Enforcement Training Program is now deficient, defective, and broken," Schwank said Monday. He alleged ICE officials are lying about the amount of training new recruits receive.

In addition to Schwank's testimony, CBS News obtained internal agency documents that were part of a disclosure he and a second U.S. government whistleblower shared with Congress. They include a July 2025 syllabus for the ICE officer training program, and an updated one dated February 2026. Within the 7-month span, training dropped from 72 to 42 days, and multiple courses dealing with use of force appear to be removed.
...
"What was taken out was 16 hours of firearms training, classes that teach them how to use their weapons correctly and safely," he said. "What was taken out were classes on how the Constitution works. In fact, the class where we talk to the officers and teach them about the rights of protesters was cut from a two-hour program into about 10 minutes that got shoehorned into a lecture about what the concept of seizure is."

White South African ‘Refugees’ Choose to Head Home Instead of Living Under Trump
Andrew Veitch, who left South Africa for California two decades ago after being carjacked, told Reuters he no longer feels safe in Trump’s America. “People are being shot in broad daylight. American citizens are being shot and killed,” said the 53-year-old. He plans to return to South Africa this year, joining a wave of repatriations driven by disillusionment with the country that once promised security.

“I don’t want to live in a place like this,” Veitch told the outlet.
...
Reuters reported that Home Affairs Minister Leon Schreiber, a member of the white-led Democratic Alliance coalition, said 1,000 people have already reclaimed their citizenship, with many more expected. “There is definitely a sense of optimism for South Africans abroad,” he said.

Recruiters helping expats return report a surge in interest. DNA Employer of Record saw inquiries jump 70 percent in six months, while HomecomingEx reported a 30 percent rise since 2024. The motivations go beyond politics. Expats cite cheaper living, proximity to family, and, increasingly, exhaustion with American volatility.
