The Sun Belt has 4 bowl eligible teams, with a chance at 1 or 2 more. I'm thinking Troy State has a better shot at becoming eligible playing Georgia State, than South Alabama does at Coastal Carolina. If both win, there would be 3 teams at 6-6, vying for 2 bowl bids. Oh, the drama!

App doesn't get even one "others" vote after winning the Sun Belt last year. I hope the voters are wrong. First game this year was a loss at #13 Iona.

Did anyone else notice the meteoric rise of UNCC football though? From just starting a program in 2013 as an FCS Independent, to an invite to CUSA beginning in 2015, to a move to the AAC. All with just one winning season to date. Location matters I guess.

It's a testament to how far Coastal has risen and how far App has fallen that this was an upset. Maybe. At this point I consider it more of a testament to how far Coastal has risen, and the same can be said for ULL. They both have good young coaches who are building strong programs (and resumes) , ...
