Re: 2024 Primary
Shine is coming off of Noem. Showing her true establishment Republican colors.... How so? I smell a VP bid. SD Legislature passed a bill requiring athletes to participate in sports based on their gender at birth and she had previously indicated she would sign it. Under pressure from the Chamber of ...

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19
Generally speaking I would agree. We shut down a year ago and didn't finish out spring of last year. We did some online stuff but weren't really prepared for it. We have been back in school full time, in person since August 14. I know people don't like standardized testing but we do a fair amount o...

This is where you put the shovel down, gil. I've been talking Iowa schools, Fiver looks like he was talking his school. We were not communicating on the same subject matter. I can talk specifics about our school district but I'm also talking about Iowa schools in general. Played baseball and softba...

CDC and WHO are both saying school transmission is low. Even God Fauci says schools should be open because spread is minimal.

It is being closely tracked and contact traced. It is not spreading in schools. And the link you posted is a fear porn website funded by the teacher's union. I really haven't had time to look into it. Just some quick Google searches. I would bet all I own that it has spread in schools in Iowa. I'm ...

Not being transmitted at school. :coffee: I'm not against kids going to class in person, but the facts are, covid is spreading in schools, despite what a state government says. The vulnerable should not attend or teach in person. It is being closely tracked and contact traced. It is not spreading i...

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19
Almost all Iowa schools have been back to in person learning since August. No major outbreaks or spread from schools. Maybe Iowa handles it better than Minnesota. :coffee: A Google search showed 21 Iowa teachers have died. Another site says over 12,000 cases in Iowa schools. link Not being transmit...

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19
Of or with? How many of the teachers contracted the virus at school? From Fox News On Thursday, the health department reported the largest week-to-week increase of the year in total COVID-19 infections associated with E-12 schools – 674. The weekly report tallied 7,465 infections among staff member...

Now the CDC says don't need 6 foot physical distancing anymore..3 feet is good to go..but only in schools, where the virus only travels 3 feet...outside of schools, it magically still travels 6 feet.. https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fgifimage.net%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2...

It won't be Kristi Noem. There's dirt on her, like using the state owned airplane for personal trips. People in SD don't care but it won't play well on national news.   Is THAT really enough these days? Honestly.... Have you seen the media and how they treat Republicans? I hope she is. But I also don’t believe it’ll happen. Her flip flopping on support for Trump shows that her character and integrity is similar to other politicians and former NYC property developers. I would like to see someone who appears to have more character and spine. Someone like Sasse but th...

Similar to what is going on across the country. Case in point, Oregon State recently announced an anonymous donation of $50 million dollars to renovate the west side of Reser Stadium, but a bunch of professors are protesting the donation, saying that football does not contribute to the mission of t...

I generally ignore celebrities when they spout political opinions. The criticism of the Lebron and the NBA to call out China is spot on. Although maybe they understand the different norms better than I do.

Dear Republicans, The next couple of elections will be decided by independents. Here’s your best candidate in 2024 if he’s interested. Next post is an example of how I think too many primaries will go. That’s not to say Sasse isn't bothered by Nebraskans spending their Saturday targeting Sasse’s vo...
