Fire Romo!
I don't care about Jessica-gate. Romo's playoff performance over two years is freaking atrocious. First that bobbled snap last year (QBs just do NOT blow holds) and now this bogus pick. He threw into TIGHT double coverage when he had a receiver WIDE freaking open just to the right. This QB is worthl...

Re: Apps Pick Up 2008 OOC Opponent
I was like "Yeah, right!" when I saw Saint3333's assertion that 2008 would be the first time Appy would be without a FBS opponent. But it looks like that might actually be true. The only sticking point would be 1978, when the best schools on the schedule were East Carolina, VMI, and East T...

Re: Obama and His Church
Who said I was making a big deal over Romney being a member of the CJCLDS? I'm not. The very idea that he'd "take orders" from SLC is ludicrous, to say the least. To the best of my knowledge, we've never had an avowed atheist in the White House; they've all been Christians of one persuasio...

Re: Obama and His Church
Come on, BA. Quit trying to stir up a pot that isn't there. Many Christian groups have a "non-negotiable" committment to Israel. Nobody says a word about that. If this church is contributing to missions in Africa, I have no problem with that. My own denomination has missionaries on every c...

Re: Did Clawson Leave Richmond?
Richmond mentions nothing about their coach leaving, and the only news in Fulmer-ville about incoming coaches involved someone else.
Given the lack of info, I would presume that he's staying put.

Come on, WB. That smacks of what the press did to the last major female presidential candidate.
"Why is your husband on Viagra?"
Give me a break. This has nothing to do with anyone's actual qualifications for the office. Leave it alone.

I'll admit it: the presence of transitioning (I believe, anyway) Presbyterian makes the Jax game look bad. Or perhaps the other way around.
But aren't Wofford and Elon conference games? Shouldn't the conference have already settled that?

Re: Apps Pick Up 2008 OOC Opponent
that sucks Not necessarily. That depends on the balance of the OOC sched. There's a difference between having the guts to play up and being suicidal about it. Take the '95 UOP Tigers (Big West Conference), for example. Scheduling Fresno State, Arizona, Nebraska, Oregon, and Oregon State in the firs...

Liberty
That's about all I know in FCS-land.

Like most mascot "updates," it's a complete mistake. The Army sucks. Medieval fantasy stories are always cool. I hope someone quashes this.

Re: '08 football
putter,
You're forgetting that UNC was playing MUCH better at the end of this past season. If this trend continues into next year, they could easily find themselves in 6th or 7th by year's end.

Re: Coach Kill
I still don't get Kill's move. If one can get past the move from FCS to FBS, it seems like a step down to me. SIU is a perennial playoff contender, and I can't remember the last time NIU made a bowl. The standards are lower for getting a bowl these days.

Thanks to Chris' generosity, Sac State's presence in message board purgatory is now over. Our new site is up and running and looks great. Chris was kind enough to lend us space on the BigSkyFans Board. We'd love to have you guys come on over.

I thought the standard was six wins. Also consider that Liberty won their conference. If their conference isn't an auto conference, it should be.

Re: End of Season - Conference by Conference Breakdown
Dayton wasn't the only school screwed. Liberty should have been in the playoffs as well. I would have dearly loved to see those two schools battle it out in Chatty.
