Re: Men's Big Sky Tournament Thread
WSU came out flat and UM is starting to chip away at the 20 point lead. 42-26 with 16:14 left. UM defense is stepping it up and forcing some turnovers.

Re: 2010 COLLEGE BASKETBALL COACHING CHANGES Thread
Lots of schools are in similar spots. And it's sad. The economy just doesn't permit most schools from cutting ties. It's a Catch 22: you need to give your coach multiple years so that recruits feel it's a good move. But when the coach doesn't work out, you have those years left to pay. Yeah that's ...

Re: Men's Big Sky Tournament Thread
40-20 WSU at half. UM will need a miracle to get back in this one. They may as well just hop on the bus and head back to Montana. WSU is dominating all aspects of the game. Poor shooting by UM is only making things worse. In UM's defense, the refs have been calling almost everything on them. The ref...

Re: Men's Big Sky Tournament Thread
I haven't watched many WSU games this year but they are completely destroying UM off the dribble. 30-13 with 4:50 left in the first.

Re: Men's Big Sky Tournament Thread
24-9 WSU with 7 minutes left in the first. UM makes a block on the defensive end but WSU gets the loose ball and another layup. The following possession is an intercepted pass followed by a WSU layup in transition. Followed by a UM turnover off of a timeout.

Re: Men's Big Sky Tournament Thread
The wheels are coming off for UM. WSU can put it away right here. A UM player battling in the post just threw down a WSU defender for an offensive foul. Another horseshit call. :ohno: :ohno: I missed it. When I looked up I saw a WSU player on the floor. No idea if it was a flop or just a bad play b...

Re: Men's Big Sky Tournament Thread
WOW WSU's Hughey just went coast to coast off of a rebound and made an effortless layup. UM just kind of stood around and watched him...I looked over to my right to see if the UM defenders were sitting next to me. Good thing for me they aren't, I don't have enough beer to go around.

8 minutes gone and its only 11-4 WSU. UGLY game so far. If WSU could hit their FT's they would have a 15 point lead.

Re: Men's Big Sky Tournament Thread
I watched most of the PSU-WSU game. WSU never really put PSU away until late in the game. PSU kept hanging around and I kind of expected them to pull the upset. It was an entertaining game nonetheless. Should be a good tournament final tomorrow.

Re: UM to Frisco for last ever FCS game?
Well what choice do they have other than FCS? Sun Belt? Army? No one from the MWC is dying to join UTSA, Texas St., Lamar, UC Davis would be choices other than Montana. Not better but just more likely since all but UCD have shown interest in FBS. "the farm extension" is a football stadium...

MSU has a few players with 4 fouls so an OT situation would not favor their odds.

Re: What Rising Freshman Will Have Biggest Impact This Yr?
I know fellow Hornet fans are going to smack me for this, but they can see it coming a mile away. The biggest impact from a first-year player will be Dominic Carmazzi, the incoming grayshirt at Sacred City. His older brother Gio took Hofstra (R.I.P.) to the playoffs after UOP gave up the ghost in '...

Re: 2010 Official Cal Poly football schedule
I disagree with the logic there SS. Football only to BSC makes sense, but a full on move up (assuming WAC accepts CP, which they probably would) would incur larger travel costs for ALL WAC sports. In this case why not just make a full move to the BSC? It would save the additional scholarships needed...

Re: 2010 Official Cal Poly football schedule
Have CP pony up another 100k and it will happen. Regardless of the money, it would be a game to have on the schedule. It's too bad our AD doesn't feel the same way. Maybe in 2012 and 2013 when I think we are allowed to schedule 12 games. Or when both CP and Sac State are in the WAC. Then Wanl...
