Get ready for the Warren G. Biden “virtual front porch” campaign.
It's called acting in a manner consistent with what the science says he should do. Biden is acting like the more intelligent of the two candidates. Will it work? I don't know. I hope so.

Re: How Trump Wins

The way Trump wins is that there are enough stupid people in the United States to allow him to win. And the way Biden wins is there are enough dead people in the United States to allow him to win. Now you know that is not true. If you're honest with yourself you know the majority of the living citi...

Re: How Trump Wins

C'mon, stupid people! You got this!! JSO will never admit that some of our “smartest” Presidents (Nixon, Carter, Clinton) were quite shitty performers. I think Clinton performed very well. Frankly I don't know why you'd put him on that list. The guy was extremely deft. The country did very well whi...

Re: Miscellaneous news items that don't warrant their own thread

This sucks. I MUST get my wife to agree to get a stand by natural gas operated generator that just switches on and runs the house. Every year I have to worry about whether tropical systems will knock power out for extended periods. Got a gasoline powered generator but that is a pain in the posterior...

Re: Miscellaneous news items that don't warrant their own thread

The cvnts should be charged, what they did was wrong. What kind of parent puts their 7 y/o in that situation? That is extremely poor parenting. While I agree with you on bringing your 7 yr old to a rally, this is exactly why Trump supporters don't identify in polling. TDS. Oh...and by the way...the...

Re: 2020 Democratic Convention

That convention was so bad that Trump got a 4 point bounce. Heard Biden was thinking of quitting. I'd be surprised if he is the candidate. I think they did at least OK. See https://www.cnbc.com/2020/08/21/democrats-rack-up-fundraising-windfall-during-the-dnc.html. The virtual Democratic National Co...

Again, there's a reason he's hiding in the basement, not doing press conferences, interviews, taking anything more than softball, pre arranged questions from liberal media. If you think because he read probably the shortest acceptance speech ever, off a teleprompter, that he undoubtedly practiced c...

One reason he exceeded expectations is because that stuff the Republicans have been putting out about him having dementia is nonsense. I think I posted before that they were setting themselves up for failure by doing that because he clearly does not have dementia and that would become evident as th...

Re: 2020 Democratic Convention

Regarding Bidens speech last night :coffee: https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/21/media/joe-biden-speech-reliable-sources/index.html So he exceeded expectations- he read a 20 min speech off a teleprompter that he undoubtedly rehearsed dozens of times, with no major flubs. But why do you think he has been ...

Re: 2020 General Election

It's not really that hard - other than 2016, have we ever really had a surprise winner in the past, say, 50 years? Going into election day there's a high probability of who the winner should be. The last 2 midterm elections W/Kerry and Obama/Romney were pretty neck and neck heading into election da...

Re: 2020 Democratic Convention

Why do Republicans even post stupid stuff like that? There is obviously a pretty high level of Democrat enthusiasm for Harris being on the ticket and it's obvious that they could have found as many people as they wanted to. I don't know what people in the echo chamber think they gain with that sort...

Re: 2020 Democratic Convention

Donks couldn't come up with 30 people to clap for Harris.. ...Since the Democrats can’t have an audience in a convention hall, one of the lame things the Democrats have been adding after people give their speeches is a montage of 30 people clapping individually from wherever they are. On Wedn...

I didn't even bother. Watched a little of Blazers/Lakers, Blackhawks/Golden Knights and then switched to Warrior Nun on Netflix. Fishing with Ladin (casting poppers to resident coho and pink salmon on Puget Sound) and then fell asleep to V for Vendetta...again. How come you didn't post about that i...

Re: Miscellaneous news items that don't warrant their own thread

Reuters did get it right. They had a photo labeled as being a photo of an industrial site. That is correct. They did not say it had anything to do with Trump messing with the postal service. Somebody took the photo and posted it on social media with a false claim about what it represents. With resp...

Re: Miscellaneous news items that don't warrant their own thread

I looked at the thread and I don't think they have Reuters as doing anything wrong. It looks like they think the Reuters should have provided some kind of explanation to make sure nobody used their stock photos to claim the stock photos are evidence of Trump mucking up the post office. It doesn't l...

All I know is that, right now, the best thing that can happen in the 2020 election is a severe rebuke of the Republican Party for the corruption and unethical conduct it has displayed in association with the Trump phenomenon. Best case scenario is Democrats gaining control of both Houses of Congress...

More evidence that only people with at least a 4 year degree should be allowed to vote:

40% are going for creepy Joe, without degrees.
I'm more struck by seeing 35% of respondents WITH degrees saying they would vote for Trump.
