Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

In case I missed the point of this, it appears to support something we already know, masks are not worn as protection from Covid. Masks are primarily worn to reduce the spread by someone that is infected. Yep. And other measures further reduce the risk. Like doggie-style.

Re: Educated Morons or Rednecks?

I love a buffet. And, thus, I like to hang with both. And I have, and still do. Although, the "rednecks" are not the big tire pickup truck drivin' types. Just the blue collar suburban types. I can go from drinking Busch Light at a NASCAR race in the afternoon to a formal cocktail party at...

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

From the New York Times: (better late than never, I guess  ) As it praised Beijing, the World Health Organization concealed concessions to China and may have sacrificed the best chance to unravel the virus’s origins. Now it’s a favorite Trump attack line. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/02/wor...

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

The vaccine candidate from Moderna is claiming 94.5% effectiveness versus COVID 19, so similar to what Pfizer had with theirs. Advantage with the Moderna one is that it doesn't need supercooled freezers to work, just a regular freezer could store it for 6 months and a refrigerator could store it fo...

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

Does that mean delaying the inevitable? If so, then that is a bit of a big deal. As time goes on, effective treatments become clearer and therapeutic drugs and vaccines are closer to realization. The critical point in the process is hospital capacity. That should be the focus for governing. If peop...

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

No one said there wouldn’t be outbreaks or a fall resurgence and yes, it appears to still be highly contagious whether you’re Sweden, Germany, or the U.S. That doesn’t excuse the lives already lost and that we’ll potentially lose over the next two months because we’re tired of it, I hate my kids, b...

Re: Lame Duck Trump

What am I supposed to take from it? Are you not trying to rationalize Trump's behavior by comparing him to others from the other side that have behaved poorly? Why can't we just call out poor behavior regardless of party? Shouldn't we expect more from our elected leaders? Is Trump doing something s...

Re: Masters Week!!!

I don't get the lack of spectators. They couldn't have gotten 1k, 2k, even 5k people into that event and still keep them socially distanced? It's a pretty big golf course, all of it is outside, and it would seem pretty easy to keep people separated during this. No it's not easy to keep them separat...

Re: Masters Week!!!

Rahm and DeC are both bad for the game IMO. Anger and slow play. Agreed on Rahm, haven’t seen the anger part as much from Bryson. But yes...slllloooowwww. Can we throw some hate at Reed while we’re at it? I'm a bit of a Reed fan. Mainly because of his performance in the Ryder Cup in the match...

Re: Masters Week!!!

I'm not a hater of Rahm, but I have noticed him tanking on the weekend so many times. Rahm is a big guy and has been playing well, but Bryson "Beefcake" DeChambeau is playing well this year. I went to Rahm's stats after I posted that. I had him in a season long fantasy pool in 2018 and 20...

Re: 2020 General Election

It would seem that the 2016 Presidential election had way less interference than the 2020 election. So I’m not sure that Biden will be quite as legitimate as Trump was, when he takes office. Re: 2020 General Election

I don't frankly care much what the GOP and Trumpers do at this moment, short of armed insurrection. Trump can concede or not, doesn't matter to me. Gore waited until December 13th before he finally "conceded" and even then he was strongly opposed to the outcome but he was out of time and ...

Re: 2020 General Election

You may base your vote off policies but ultimately you're voting for a person. And that person is going to be flawed - some more than others. It's something you have to weigh. And yes, by supporting Trumps policy you are giving the man your support. I didn't say you give him 100% of your support of...

Still time to reduce deaths and hospitalizations before a vaccine is doing its thing. Even Republican governors are forced to I moo pose new restrictions. Btw, all of these measures were being suggested back in March-April. :coffee: https://www.deseret.com/platform/amp/utah/2020/11/8/21555418/coron...
